I'm not in a position to book this as I'm checking prices in readiness for next year. It might help someone though if it is confirmed as a good price.

I am looking at options instead of OKW in case it's too expensive next year.

I have edited this as I thought the price was for POR, rather than All Stars - not quite the bargain I thought.

It doesn't sound a great price to me....we are not paying much different to that, 2 adults, 2 children ( DS will be 12 so classed as an adult) staying at AKL, 14 day tickets, car and free Disney dining plan.

Very dear imo. I wouldn't think 2 rooms in a value is your best bet either - the rooms are very small.

I'd DIY.

Book your flights as soon as available 11 months out - indirect budget £500 or so a person so £2500.

Ultimates would be £1250 or so. Do you need them? The 10 day MYW non hopping are cheaper if you don't want water parks.

Using the quote above that leaves £1750 for accomodation. You could get a lovely villa or condo for a lot less than that and have room to chill out.

If you are wanting onsite then i'd price ssr and okw when it's released for 2012.

I was going to suggest DIY too. It usually works out much cheaper if you book it all separately.

Yep DIY definatley. After being on here have saved a fortune I still dont understand why OP book with VH when the same booking direct with VA and disney is nearly always a lot cheaper. I know there is the security thing and very occasionally they do have some good offers.Complete orlando seem to be one of the best opositions of booking with disney Direct. Thats just my opinion.

Just broke it down with this years prices, not cheap but certainly not OTT for onsite 2 rooms with Virgin flights.

This year 2 rooms with 14 day Ultimates = £2,640, I would add 5% to get an approx price for next year = £2,772, take that from £5,476 and it leaves £2,794 for 5 seats, Same dates this year VA want £2,476

2 bed villa at OKW would be about £2,000 more but include all your food with the regular DDP, far superior accommodation.

Yes you will probably get cheaper offsite, cheaper tickets, cheaper indirect flights but if the package is exactly what you want it might be worth considering, especially if you prefer to pay deposit now balance just before going.
If you want the challenge or have Airmiles to use then wait for DIY.

Don't blame you looking at all.

Packages can sometimes be cheaper due to a glitch or special offer.

I've booked with thomas cook online for this October - first time in years I've booked flights and accomodation together. They had the accomodation for a great price and were giving another £200 off if you booked as a package. The flights were the same price as the airline direct - so diy not best option this year for us.

Did they have a glitch? Do you work for them? Sorry its just I have found them so expensive even going out of season(december time) and I always used them till I found these boards.I must admit it is nice to get someone else to do all the work.Glad you got a good deal and im sure a lot more people would book with them if they lowered there prices a bit.Checking my flight dates last night VA direct was £2052 and VH were £2636 I lookedas was thinkin of securing a deposit so I know they are booked but I am not paying £600 more.expedia was £2256 so why VH charge that much I dont know. You will love AKL my favorite resort to stay at so far.Hoping to go back in november as long as my DVC friend can book at the 7 month window
