We have a 2 yr old and 6 yr old. Is a cruise a good idea? Is there much for them to do on board or would they be bored? Is it worth the cost or should we just consider 7 days at WDW?

Ask me about the 2 year old in 3 weeks!

Seriously, the 2 year old is cheaper than the 6 year old, I assume because the 2 year old cannot go to the kids club. They have to be 3 and potty trained. The 2 year old can go to the nursery for babysitting, but there is an additional charge & the hours are limited.

I think if it were me I would wait until both kids were over 3 rather than having to juggle one kid in the clubs & one with you or in the nursery.

I am leaving 9/7 with a 4 & 2 yr old and I'll let you know also. the 2 yr old will be going to the nursery occasionally and the 4 yr old is insisting on going to her "club". WDW has been fantastic for both kids since they were babies. They just love the characters!:)

On our first cruise our youngest daughter had just turned two. If it was the trip of a lifetime I would consider waiting until the youngest is three. If you thought you would have the opportunity to go again than I would go. The best advice I can give is that your child will still want to do all of the things that a 2 year old want to do at home on the ship. You will have to stop for naps, maybe go to bed a little earlier than you would like, etc. but still we did have a lot of fun. We are going again in another month and leaing our 6 month old son home with grandma and grandpa.
