Is there ONE thing (maybe a little odd) that you always have to do at Disney?

We go to MK on the first and last days of our vacation. We also have dinner at a nice restaurant on the first and last days of our vacation.

Does nearly getting my family killed trying to take pictures as we are driving around count? :p

The first time I went to WDW (when I was in college), I called my parents from the pay phones right by Space Mountain to tell them what a fabulous time I was having (neither had ever been to WDW). I made the same call, from the same pay phone my next 2 trips. Then on my 4th trip, I took my mom and my son with me, and we had to call grandpa (who didn't want to go! !) So now each time we go, we have to call grandpa from the pay phone--even though we have a cell phone. I know, we're  , but you gotta love tradition!!!!

Always have to go to the Japan pavillion...for some reason I've taken a liking to Japan...maybe it's the anime, food, and those chopsticks...oh and that food...mmmmmmmmmmmmmm....did I mention food?

Until reading this thread, I didn't realize there's something I do every visit to EPCOT. I always stop off in the bathroom located across from Spaceship Earth. Never actually have to use it. Just go in to primp and make sure everything's "right" then proceed on. Next comes the ride on Spaceship Earth. I've never varied this routine since the park opened.

I always go to MGM and make a beeline for the umbrella to do my best "Singin' in the Rain" impression. The way the umbrella is hooked to the lamp post makes it very hard to do it exactly the way Gene Kelly does it, but I try!

Oh, and when "Tapestry of Nations" was still at EPCOT, I HAD to go to the patisserie and get a marvelleaux. I'd then pick out a perfect piece of curb, sit myself down and enjoy my yummy dessert while enjoying my favorite parade. I'm still so bummed it's gone!

We always have to go over to the Wilderness Lodge and sit in the lobby by the fireplace, It is just so relaxing.

DS and I always ride the people mover, for some reason we enjoy that little ride.

We also stop outside the contemporary by the pool and have our picture taken on the mickey ears.

At Epcot we have to search for our picture on the leave a legacy walls.

We also always ride the monorail at least once.

I have to go into every shop I see, including some of the resorts like FWL, FWCG, CR, etc. even though most of them carry the exact same things. I'm always afraid if I don't look everywhere I'm gonna miss something!

We always get fish and chips, beer and listen to the British Invasion at least once, maybe twice.

I like to yell out in line -- Anyone here from out of town? Drives my kids nuts!!

:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Well,
One of ours is when AK first opened I had picture taken in Gorilla cage at end of trail. To make kids laugh. Now we have a picture of me every year since and the whole family starts as we get near telling me to go get "MY ANNUAL PICTURE" which as you can see is coming soon.

First, making that bend and walking down main street and viewing the castle for the first time each trip, i always say LOUDLY "i love it here SO MUCH!" lol - POC - has to be first ride in MK and last ride in MK
When leaving for home, i have to go under the train station and go up to walt's picture and say "you da man, walt", lol. My kids DIE when i do this but they make sure i do it every time, for some reason.
We also do the indian picture to see how much the kids have grown. I don't have any other traditions in any other parks, now that i think about it, lol.

That is too funny, my DH does the same thing!

As for me I really stink at mini golf, but we play nearly every night while we are at Disney, and I find that if I make really loud "DUCK SOUNDS" as the ball is heading for the cup...it goes in. I beat DH and DS many, many times, which I think is halarious since they are really good golfers here on the Cape, (they are both on golf leauges). Good thing they play Disney Tunes while people are mini-golfing there, otherwise everyone would hear me quacking LOL...................hey it works:D

First thing we do is go to MGM and ride Rock 'n roller coaster.
The reason, I think, is this.
When we went after it was opened the kids reallllly wanted to go on it. Me, I HATE roller coasters! For some unknown reason I thought it was a simulated ride. Even went I saw the take off, I still thought, well that's how you get into the simulated room. How stupid am I?????
Anyhoo......we took off and I screamed....and then we went UPSIDE down....and I screamed some more......then for good measure, I screamed a little more. I don't think I took a single breath, just one looooooooooong scream!!
So, we get off and the kids are all looking at me wide eyed, thinking they were going to have to perform CPR on me and I just looked at them and said " Lets do it again!!" .:teeth:
I am sooo hooked on that ride we just go over and over.
It is now the first and last thing we do! (and many times in between! ;) )
Also, we have to eat at 50's.

In Epcot I have to get a Fiesta Margarita and Nachos from the Cantina. And see Illuminations

In MK: ALways have to ride TTA, and go on CoP my daughter and I have to sing that song " It's a bright new beautiful tomorrow shining at the end of everyday.... ok you know how it goes.

We always have to eat @ the ESPN then walk around the Boardwalk, 50's Prime time too.

It's going to be a long year!

At MK..the first thing we do is to walk up the steps and take a round trip ride on the steam train...We love the different steam train engines and we make it a contest to guess the name of the engine that will be the first to arrive in the station....I know its odd...but this way we get a nice view of the whole park and it sort of makes us happy that we are back in the MK and that everything is still the same..just like when we last left it...

I don't think it's really all that odd, but I have to ride the TTA (which is and always will be the WEDWay to me!) with my mom. Two years ago I went to WDW for the first time without her (a quick weekend trip with a friend). So I drew a pic of mom on the hotel room notepad, took it to MK, and made my friend take a pic of me and "mom" on the TTA to send to her.

Okay, yeah, that IS weird...:p

I think that is a pretty cool thing to do

My kids insist on eating at RFC at DTD on the day we arrive:D

I guess I hadn't really thought about it much but I do that too:D

I like to get a pic of sons and DH on the monorail when another one is passing. We have three of those. Unfortunetly because of my digital, I couldn't do it this year. There was enough of a delayed action and the other train was past before the camera took the pic. Oh well. Maybe next year.....

I love reading this! You all give me goose bumps!! :)

None of mine are weird, just normal things I guess.

We always get a Christmas ornament for our tree on everytrip.

We always do Carousel of Progress and sing along with the song, then have it in our head for days and we love it!

I'm sure everyone does this, but I have to find Mickey for a picture. On my first WDW trip with my family we didn't take pictures with ANY characters, we saw a couple from a distance but I never got my picture taken with one. When DH and I went back for our honeymoon 7 years later I was determined to get my picture taken with Mickey.
