I'd love free dining! My girls will be 12 and 11 so are considered adults by Disney's standards. That sure would save us a pretty penny.

I was hopeing Disney would come out with something before I booked my air fare. Now my dates are set in stone unless I pay to change my air fare and the would defeat the purpose of my booking when they first came out in March to avoid increase because of the oil prices rising which they have. The tix I paid $480.80 for ,last time I checked were up to $622.80

Hoping for free dining too!

We've gone the last 4 years in September with free dining but this year my DD asked to be there on her birthday 10/16 and since she's spoiled rotten that's when we're booked, the 15th-22nd.

Joining in. I just booked POFQ for Oct. 16th yesterday and am hoping for free QSDP. Last year we went in Nov. and took advantage of free DDP but it looks like that's not gonna happen this year. Last trip, I booked in April and got a PIN for 30% off the room, 3 days later I got a postcard with a PIN for 35% off, so I called and had it applied. Then, FD was offered in July so I called and changed again. Willing to do the same this time! So far this year I've gotten 6 free dining PINS via email but they were the ones good only until mid-August.

That's a shame. If I were in the same situation, I'd never just cancel because I was spoiled by a Deluxe resort. I'd downgrade to a moderate, which are lovely, and I'd take my Disney vacation

Disney at a moderate or value is better than no Disney!

I was so excited to see an envelope in the mail yesterday that said our family name with "special offers for you" I flipped through it with all the info of our stay including dining suggestions..got to the last page that said "Special offers just for your family"..and the page was blank.

At this point the lack of a room discount is not hurting me as much as the prices of airfare I'm seeing. OUCH all around! Not sure how this trip is going to come together without breaking the bank.

The past several years, the general discount codes for October were not released until late July - mid August. So I doubt we will see anything this year before then.

Sooo... If I book a room now (which I did), I have until aprox. the end of August to re-book using the discounts w/o incurring a $ penalty.

I really hope those discounts come out soon!

You do not have to re-book. They just apply the discount & apply the credit to your balance.

We are booked Oct 23rd till Oct 30th. We did have discount on the room so we went with a Deluxe to get the 40%. I was hoping that we could also get free dining. From what I"m reading we can't have both? Is this true?
We are booked and paying on the room still, our air has been purchased. I booked my air fair when I seen prices increasing. I got my air round trip for 4 at 1165. Now it up to 1600. I"m sure it will go down, but didn't want to take hte chance. We budget air fair at 1000.

Only one discount to a customer. You'll have to pay full price on the room if you change to free dining.
