Is there an October 2011 codes watch?

Here I am whining about not getting a pin yesterday and I go to the mail to find.... you guessed it... a pin. BUT it is for a room only discount so it doesnt help us. I have 9 months, hopefully we will get something good that knocks a few dollars off the trip.

You can use a room only discount on a package, it just means that the discount only applies to the room portion of your reservation.

Why not just buy discounted tickets separately from Undercover Tourist? Why does it have to be a package?

I called to check and see if I had a pin in my name before I booked. I did! Unfortunately like some of you I wanted to book for one of the weeks in October that's blacked out. I booked for November instead, but that's really not when I wanted to go since it will be right before the kiddos Thanksgiving break and they'll be out of school for 2 weeks in a row...but oh well.

Also have to pay rack rate for a couple days since the code is only good for 7 days sunday to sunday which isn't the best fit for us. The restrictions with some of the dates are a little frustrating!!!

It's the pin code that lots of others have posted. But when she gave me the code, it was just 3 digits...isn't that a general public offer code? So couldn't anyone use it instead of waiting for a pin????

I thought the non-transferable pin# were 16 digits, like you said the other is a booking code.

Were you able to get the 40% off for Deluxe? I still have not called to see if I mght have a pin attached to my name.

I also never heard of a discount being restricted for Sun to Sunday like you just mentioned or is that due to the dates it is good for are only a 10-day span of time funning from one sunday to another?

My husband got a pin (emailed and snail mail) for 35%/40% room only. I just booked this morning for a solo trip the first week in October! $347 for 5 nights at POP! :cool1: If free dining comes along, I'll run the numbers and see which would be best. It looks like I could shave $2-$4 off a night by going FD. :rotfl:

Question? We are checking in on October 6th. We just got a room discount pin code that goes to October 8th. Am I correct in saying that as long as we check in before the 8th we are eligible to receive the discount for the duration of our stay? Thank you for your help..:worship:

While this sort of thing would be true for something like free dining, many room discount codes are set up where you only get the discount on the days included. So, if you check in on the 6th, you would have the discount on the 6th, 7th, and 8th.

Call and make sure though.

I just got a pinned emailed to me for 35% (Value / Moderate) - 40% off (Deluxe / Deluxe Villas)

This is my 1st time getting a PIN, does anyone know how many times the pin can be used? Is it only a 1 time use deal or can it be used multiple times?

Ok, I'm new to this pin stuff but all the dates I've tried online it wasn't able to find anything.

Is it best just to call Disney to see if they can get rooms?

PINs can be used only once, but can be applied to more than one room as long as the reservation is made under the name of the person named on the PIN. For instance, if you have a PIN and will be traveling with 2 other families, you may make their reservation under your name and the PIN discount will apply.

Ok, so in this situation it would be best just to call the Disney Travel Agent and have them apply the pins since you can only do 1 room at a time online, correct?

I got one too, but it is my passholder's rates: 40% villas & deluxes, 35% moderates and values for these dates: 2/27–3/5, 5/8–5/27, 5/31–6/4, 8/21–10/8, 10/23–10/29, 11/13–11/19, 11/27–12/3 and 12/11–12/24/11.

You can use your pin for multiple reservations. I booked two separate stays last year.

Yup. It may be best to put a deposit on a trip just to secure at least that discount. If you get a better PIN or an exceptional gen-pub deal is put out later on, you can always change the discount you opt for. It doesn't cost anything to change as long as you're still outside your 45-day window.

Just got my 40% off deluxe pin today and booked BC for 10/24-10/28 :thumbsup2

10th Anniversary trip, we've always wanted to do F&W festival AND stay at the BC--I am so excited!!!!:banana::banana:

Yep, I got the 40% off deluxe. These were the dates for it: 2/27–3/5, 5/8–5/27, 5/31–6/4, 8/21–10/8, 10/23–10/29, 11/13–11/19, 11/27–12/3 and 12/11–12/24/11.

So the particular week in October we wanted to go was blacked out and we booked one of the November weeks, but they're only from Sunday to Sunday when we usually like to travel from Fri. to Sat. So we'll be paying rack rate for a couple days unless something else comes out before the trip so that I can make adjustments...

My pin was 2 letters and 1 number...if that's a general booking code, I have no problem posting it here for anyone to use, I just wasn't sure if it would work for everyone since the person on the phone said it was attached to my name...any ideas? I'd love to help someone save some money :)

Thank you, Thank you ... for the advice. I got a pin in the mail and when I called I was told it was for the room only; but the CM made it seem like I couldnt use the pin. I got advice from you awesome folks and called again today. Instead of staying at CSR with the 35% discount, we decided to upgrade to BC using a 40% discount. It was only $200 more than the original price we were paying for CSR. We never stayed at BC but I have always wanted to because its so close to Epcot and since we go to F&W and are there most of the week, we said what the heck!

I would have never called again to use that PIN if I hadnt gotten the advice... THANK YOU!

In all honesty I do not think if it were me that I would post it, who knows maybe Disney is changeing the way they do things now :confused3

Awesome! Congrats on the PIN and the sweet upgrade. I'm sure you'll love the BC. We haven't stayed there yet, but may look into renting points when the kids are older.
