Is There a Word....

fanny ~ Growing up my mom referred to our female area as our fanny. BUT my grandma referred to our hiney as "fanny". Grandma use to say "I'm gonna swat your fanny if you don't behave" and I use to think that would hurt terrible.

Thus everytime someone says fanny pack, I have to giggle :rotfl:

Oh and another one - crack!

The side of my DD's bed is about 8" away from the wall, and she is constantly dropping stuffed animals and whatnot into that space. So she will say things like "Cheezer, why are you in my crack again!" which sends me into hysterical laughter.

Dae Woo. I had a Dae Woo (car) for a while. It was the cheapest thing on the car lot at the time and I just needed something that worked. I never could tell people what I was driving without giggling and thinking it sounded so silly.
Often I would have to repeat it too because they would say "a what?" Then I'd have to repeat it " a Dae-woo". Say it out loud and you can see what I'm talking about. I sold it years ago, and got about $500 for it. :teeth: I believe the company eventually went bankrupt.

I love the word Serendipity and it's meaning ~

'The unexpected good consequences of a totally random act'

That one, used in that way, made me laugh, too! :rotfl2:

It's not a word but a phrase. I can't help but laugh when I hear the phrase "hunker down."

Where I am from booty is a shoe/sock yet here where I live it means ... your bottom. I crack up when I visit home-home. :teeth:

BTW Thanks for bringing back your siggie pic yet compromising with a Britney avatar. :smooth:

i am sorry- i just happened to come across this thread-- its funny how some words make you giggle......

not sure if this makes me giggle or gives me the creeps-- kinda both....its:

SASSY! :scared: nope! its the creeps alright!

my SIL was telling me a story about some woman who was (rude) to her--- but she explained to me that the woman "got sassy with her!" :lmao:

i said-- "sassy?" :rotfl2: what are you like, 100 years old?-- who says SASSY!?:scared:

SASSY! :scared:SASSY! :scared:SASSY! :scared: STOP IT!

phenomenon
Everytime I hear it, I think about that old Muppet song

" Mahna Mahna
Do doo be-do-do
Mahna Mahna
Do do-do do
Mahna Mahna
Do doo be-do-do be-do-do be-do-do be-do-do-doodle do do do-doo do!"

We hear that a lot during hurricane season! :rotfl2:

Ishkabibble

Or: my grandma always said we were giving her ajeda!

(spelling is probably wrong on both!)

:teeth:

It's funny that this came up now - DH, DD7 and I were having a silly discussion (and lots of laughs) a few days ago about how funny the word "crotch" is. It all started because we were watching America's Funniest Videos (DD loves it) and there happened to be lots of "hit in the crotch" videos in that particualr episode... :rotfl:

:sunny:

Sheep. I don't know why but if I say the word (or now even if I see sheep) it makes me laugh. I'm giggling as I am typing this!

It's even funnier to me when talking about one rather than plural - "a" sheep.

Weiner. Especially when used to mean a hot dog. "I'd like ketchup and relish on my weiner, please" gets me giggling like a teenager every time!

slacks. come on now people, they're pants... (but the word slacks cracks me up!)

poop. ok, juvenile I know, but a funny word, and it makes me laugh every time...

ok, i'm done :rotfl:

You know whut?

Chicken Butt!!!

That's from Saturday Night Live

It's been years, but we still laugh.

Horseradish.

Who came up with that?? :confused3

ITA with slacks, too. They are pants. However, underneath pants we (well, most of us... ) wear underwear. Hearing someone say "underpants" or even worse "panties", cracks me up as well. :rotfl:

When my mom says "That really IRK'S me" The word Irk for some reason cracks me up!
