Is There a Word....

Here is one for all you "sneakers" fans, in the UK they call them "trainers", now that does make me giggle!

The other word that makes me giggle is~doily~, not sure if I am spelling it right, but you know you would put a pretty doily on your dresser or under the lamp. :lmao:

One word I have a hard time pronouncing is "Worcestershire" sauce. Really, who can say Worcestershire?

Im the worlds wosrt speller. but Pookepsie and Schendecty Ny crack me up,
I used to think they were made up places on TV.

slacks. come on now people, they're pants... (but the word slacks cracks me up!)

poop. ok, juvenile I know, but a funny word, and it makes me laugh every time...

ok, i'm done :rotfl:

OMG! i KNOW this is going to sound REALLY gross BUT for years now anytime someone will asks how something tastes (food!) DH, me and my cousin all have the same answer--- "it tastes like poop!" :rotfl:

sounds gross just writing it-- but i laugh everytime i say it-- or hear it! whats even funnier is when an unsuspecting person hears the answer :scared: of course they dont "get it"

i have another one---

i was just having a convo with DH and, of course, being overly dramatic and the word Deluge (as in flood) slipped out and all i could do is crack up after it came out, it was so unsuspected.....and i had to come share the word with all of you! :rotfl2:

I have another one-- but this one was actully made up this weekend-

SNORGLE! :confused3

me DH and his family were down the shore this weekend and my BIL was a bit tipsy. we had to share a room with him and his wife and BIL was pretending to be asleep and "pretending" to be snoring- very loudly (he kept it up for about 10 minutes- so i thought for sure he was sleeping) all of a sudden he started giggling and of course got me, DH and SIL giggling and then BIL asked DH if she 'SNORGLES" :rotfl2: and do (I) get mad at him for SNORGLING!

we just all busted out laughing and i said is that a cross between a snore and a (insert loud snore noise here!)

BIL apologized for keeping us up and i said- thats OK- i would have never heard the word "snorgle" if you had just had gone and fallen asleep! :lmao:

i give permission to anyone who would like to use the word......SNORGLE!

Everytime I hear it, I think about that old Muppet song

" Mahna Mahna
Do doo be-do-do
Mahna Mahna
Do do-do do
Mahna Mahna
Do doo be-do-do be-do-do be-do-do be-do-do-doodle do do do-doo do!"

OMG! Now I will be singing that for at least a week!!! All I have to do is say mahna mahna and either my husband or son will ALWAYS chime in with the rest!! Sorry, OT I know...Its just it always makes me smile when I hear it. :)

When my mom says "That really IRK'S me" The word Irk for some reason cracks me up!

I love to say "irk", but it's because it reminds me of my now grown nephew. When he was 5yo and living in Germany, I visited my sister and family. We toured a lot of castles and one of them had a restaurant in it as a money maker. My nephew took one look at that restaurant in the castle and said how it "irked him that a castle had a restaurant". It was such a funny thing for a 5yo to say. :rotfl: So every time I use the word I have a 20 year flashback. :teeth:
