Is there a way to see an easy total of charges on Magic Band?

I'm debating using the MagicBand to charge back to the credit card on file with our room. That's an option, right? If we do that, is there an easy way to see our total at the end of the day other than just keeping receipts and such?

Do charges on Magic Band appear on credit card statement as Travel, or do they post individually? I have a Chase credit card.

They don't post individually and they should be coded as travel.

The charges will appear individually (even who's MB charged it) on your Disney folio. But the credit card statement will only post once - or perhaps twice if you approach the limit Disney allows, and they submitting a charge to your credit card company. We've already had it broken into 2 charges as Disney had us pay, reset, and allowed us to continue charging to the folio. Hope that makes sense!

What is the limit?
So, anything you charge around the parks like restaurants, souvenirs, snacks…Are then just charge directly to the resort?…And then post to your credit card statement once as a Walt Disney World resort charge code is travel? Hope my question makes sense lol.

I'm not sure if the limit varies - I want to say it's like $1,000 or $1,500, but that might have changed since things are so much more expensive now!

Yes, you can charge most things around the parks, restaurants, etc, and they are charged directly to your MDE account, where you have a credit card on file. If anyone chooses to not have a credit card on file, then charging privileges are not allowed. I cannot honestly remember if there's a charge code of 'travel' when they submit the charge to your card. We've found very few places we couldn't use the bands to charge.

If you have an email on file, they'll even email you a copy of the final folio showing all charges, whose band charged, and where. It's pretty thorough that way.

I have no idea what the limit is, and I feel like they keep changing their internal practices. I know in April 2022 when I stayed at the Poly, they only ran the card once at checkout.

One thing to be aware of, though, if you have the Disney Visa is that you will not get its merchandise discount if you use the card as your room charge backup.

You must put merchandise on the card directly to get that discount.

Mobile ordering food are separate charges to the credit card - if I am remembering correctly.

Yes, that’s correct. Mobile food orders are charged directly to whatever form of payment is entered onto the order form. That could be the card linked to your MDE, another credit card linked in your cell phone wallet, or a Disney gift card /Visa Rewards card with the number copied and pasted into the relevant place on the order form.
