Is there a song out there with your name as the title?

I was named Jennifer because my father loved the song "Jennifer Juniper" by Donovan.

There's also 867-5309(Jenny)

Oh, Donna

It was a great thrill when I was 9 and Donny Osmond recorded it.

I don't think there is a song for Marsha.. but those Brady's got me good. with MARSHA, MARSHA, MARSHA..

I did name my daughters after songs though.. Carrie Ann, I believe that was by the Hollies and Kate.. we call her Katie.. for K-K-K-K atie, beautiful lady.. which we use to all sing at a Happy Hour in Boston in the late 60's... oops dating myself here..and then there is a song called Hallie's song.. but I named her that before I knew about any songs..

" Jenny I got your number
How can I make you mine
...867-5309"

Tommy Tutone song "Jenny (867-5309)"

My sisters and I have songs:

Mine is obvious... "Rocking Robin" and the disco "Fly Robin Fly"

My sister Michelle has the most beautiful by far : "Michelle"

DESIREE

Written and Performed by Neil Diamond

It was the third of June
On that younger day
Well I became a man
At the hands of a girl
Almost twice my age
And she came to me
Just like a morning sun
And it wasn't so much
Her words as such
As the way they were sung
It was the way they were sung
Desiree
Oh, Desiree
There I was found
By the sweet passion sound
Of you loving song
Time was right, the night was long
Remember, Desiree
Oh Desiree
Somehow I knew
I could only have you
'Til the morning light
If only for that single night
Sweet Desiree, you made it right.

Then came the fourth of June
On that sleepless night
Well I tossed and I turned
While the thought of her burned
Up and down my mind
For she was there and gone
Without one regret
But she continues on
Like the words of a song
I could not forget
I could not forget

Desiree
Oh, Desiree
There I was found
By the sweet passion sound
Of your loving song
Time was right, the night was long
Remember, Desiree
Oh, Desiree
And though somehow I knew
I could only have you
'Til the morning light
The night was long, the time was right
Do you remember, Desiree

Spelled differently than mine (Valerie), but absolutely THRILLED me in the 60's when The Monkees were my favorite group and they sang it on their TV Show!!!!:Pinkbounc

Nope, never heard of one with my name. Maybe someone here could help me.

:p

Well there is Jenny Jenny 867-5309...but my godfather wrote a song for me when I was 7 years old. He had about 100 copies made and it got airplay in Denver.:)

Well, what do you know... not one but two..

One by Elvis... (not Costello, but Presley)

Wish I was an apple dangling from a tree
Every time you'd pass me by you'd take a bite of me
I wish I was a bluebird I'd never fly away
I'd sit up on your shoulder baby and sing to you all day

Come on home Cindy Cindy, Come on home Cindy Cindy
Come on home Cindy Cindy, Come on home to me

I wrote it in a letter, carved it on a tree
Told it to a honeycomb, told it to a bee
Told them that I love you, they all know its true
Say it till the cows come home until it gets to you

Come on home Cindy Cindy, Come on home Cindy Cindy
Come on home Cindy Cindy, Come on home to me

Need you in the morning to start the coffee pot
Need you in the afternoon to fan me when I'm hot
Need you in the evening when supper time is through
What I'm really tryin' to say is I can't get enough of you

Come on home Cindy Cindy, Come on home Cindy Cindy
Come on home Cindy Cindy, Come on home to me

If I were a musician I'd harp on just one thing
You should never play my harp the way you pluck a string
If only you would love me say it and tell me so
I need two charms about me baby to have the whole world know

Come on home Cindy Cindy, Come on home Cindy Cindy
Come on home Cindy Cindy, Come on home to me

Come on home Cindy Cindy, Come on home Cindy Cindy
Come on home Cindy Cindy, Come on home to me

And Cindy Incidentally by Rod Stewart

Oh Cindy ain't you noticed
that several of your friends have moved on
And the street outside is just a little too quiet
And your local papers run out of news
I'm not persuading you or disengaging you
But Cindy you and me we got to move

Can you refuse, no time to lose
We'll hit the high road early this morning
So don't be late, don't hesitate
This dream can pass just as fast as lighting
And oh Cindy incidentally baby I ain't putting you on

Can you refuse, with ( ) lose
We'll hit the high road early this morning
So don't be late, don't hesitate
This dream can pass just as fast as lighting

Oh Cindy don't you worry
'cause between us we can make it through
There ain't nothing no no nothing
in the world I can do without you
So Cindy get your coat on
leave the rent with the gent up in the penthouse
Turn your music so loud let's attract a big crowd
We'll drink a round to this town and bid goodbye

Sure. I was named for it... from the movie, Laura.

Laura is the face in the misty lights
Footsteps that you hear down the hall
The laugh that floats on a summer night
That you can never quite recall

And you see Laura on the train that is passing through
Those eyes how familiar they seem
She gave your very first kiss to you
That was Laura but she's only a dream

<instrumental interlude>

And you see Laura on the train that is passing through
Those eyes how familiar they seem
She gave your very first kiss to you
That was Laura but she's only a dream

Julie, Julie, Julie Do You Love Me by Bobby Sherman

I have two that I am aware of (one is spelled differently though):

Once in love with Amy (don't have clue who it is by)

and Aimee by Pure Prairie League

What a fun thread!

Yep!

My Attorney Bernie
- Dave Frishberg

I'm impressed, with my attorney Bernie
I'm impressed, with his influential friends
He's got very big connections
and I follow his directions
Bernie knows his way around
and so I always do what Bernie recommends.

I am blessed, with my attorney Bernie
I'm impressed, with the way he runs the store
He's got Dodger season boxes
and an office full of foxes
It's amazing all the different things
your average guy might need a lawyer for.

chorus:

Bernie tells me what to do
Bernie always lays it on the line
Bernie says we sue, we sue
Bernie says we sign.. we sign

I'm in touch, with my attorney Bernie
In a clutch, he can speed right to the scene
and if I'm locked up in the jail
with just one phone call for my bail
he said to call his club collect
or deal directly with his answering machine

When I dine, with my attorney Bernie
He buys wine, from the rare imported rack
That's cause Bernie is a purist
not your polyester tourist
Bernie waves the glass around awhile
then takes a sip and always sends it back

(chorus)

I admire, my attorney Bernie
I admire, any guy who knows his stuff
Sure we blew a couple ventures
with a counterfeit debenture
But you win a few, you lose a few
and like Bernie says you keep on hanging tough

Thanks to you, my attorney Bernie
Thanks to you, I'm considered well to do
Sure I made out like a bandit
Just exactly like you planned it
But like Murray my accountant
told me yesterday, I owe it all to you.

(chorus)

On the dotted line!

Of course there's Michelle by the Beatles.

My Michelle by Guns n Roses

Shannon! I didn't see you list this one for yourself :)

*Brown Eyes* ~ Fleetwood Mac ~

When you look at me with those brown eyes
What do you want to do
Do you have to have me
The way that I want you
I want you
When you look at me with those brown eyes
What do you want to say
And are you just another liar
Will you take me all the way
All the way.
