is there a free dining watch thread for fall?

So we are reserved for 9/30-10/4, does that mean since I am technically checking in on 9/30, I would be able to get the free dining for my stay? Or do I need to adjust my time. I am surprised there aren't more October dates, years ago when they first started offering FD, a lot of October was included, I thought that was a slow month too...No big deal, I will do what I need to do to move it lol!

Yes, as long as your check-in date falls within free dining, you can get it for the length of your trip (up to 14 days?).

If the free dining was 11/15-11/21, wouldn't that mean that all sorts of people would have free dining for Thanksgiving week? That's unlikely, no?

Totally agree. Those dates seem very unlikely to me.

I agree- these dates don't make sense so I doubt they're actually them. The point of Free Dining is to attract people during their slower times. Offering Free Dining for check in during Thanksgiving week doesn't serve that purpose and won't likely happen.

Sure hope they aren't planning to switch free dining to run more like room discounts, where you only get them on the nights they're offered. I can't imagine how that would work, but Disney's been doing some crazy things lately...

I think your guess of the 21rst is a pretty good one. I wouldn't be shocked to see the 18th if they do a general release with no visa preview.

That's what I thought, too - and the rumored Dec dates would allow someone to stay over Christmas with free dining, and I understand the actual week of Christmas is always busy - so these dates just don't make any sense.

Then again, perhaps we are all just creating something we want to see out of nothing but rumors and whispers.

On the other hand, somebody "in the know"'s travel agent supposedly leaked this, so maybe it really does have legs.

But, it really seems illogical.

And that's how I spend my time, spinning around in a circle chasing my tail about this. Patience is really hard.

I have read a lot of posts about staying up all night the night before it is rumored to be released, is this the best way? How do you know when it goes live? are you looking on the disney website? then after that do you book it on the disney website or do you have to call? Thank you so much to anyone who gives me the low down on this....I am 9 months pregnant and really need to have a detailed plan in case i have to get someone else to do it for me since i may be having a baby or in the hospital when it goes live!

Disney website under special offers it will say free dining. Click the link it will take you to book online. Call if online booking fails but try it first. Good luck with the baby. Tell it to stay put questions couple more weeks.

Oh, NO!! What happened to the 2016 Fall offers?? From my selfish perspective, that is terrible for the US watchers - it's like FD skipped the whole of 2016!
