is there a free dining watch thread for fall?

What is the best way to book this offer if it comes out? Are you able to make a booking on the website or does it just crash?
You are able to book online most of time before phone. There are exceptions such as if it's offered to Disney visa holders first you have to call also if it crashes you have to call. Last year it went live online several hours before phone lines opened. Then when they did open the phones the phone crashed. It was a bit of mess. Try online first then be prepared to call. One tip about calling is make sure you have a full battery a land line phone with a cord is best for this. Last year people held for two hours only to have there battery die before booking.

Does anyone know around what time they offer is usually available online?

You guys are awesome. I will have to try logging on at 5AM to see if I can upgrade any of my clients IF an offer comes out. How did you know the exact day the offers came out? I don't get notified in any way.

Rumors. People usually start taking. I will let you know when I hear something. Sometimes it's a good as free dining starts this date. sometimes it's every employee needs to be at work and ready to go this date. That's a good indicator. Some rumors this year say April 25. I wouldn't be shocked to see something earlier. I only say that because they tend to come out earlier every year. Summer discount was released on week earlier than 2015 it's really a guessing game at this point.

Thanks for the info, but number 4 is incorrect. I am a Travel Agent and I just called to check on a clients reservation that I made for November. I was told that you can just modify the reservation. You do not have to cancel and rebook. You do, however, have to call in. You cannot modify it on our TA portal.

Let me explain. You DO need to cancel the room if the room you are in is NOT part of FD. They are cancelling your reservations and making a new one even of they are not telling you this. FD rooms are different then rooms that you have already booked, therefore they cancel one reservation and make another. You may not realize this but that is what is happening. If you have to do a spilt stay, they will often make 2 reservations and charge you deposit for each one.

Are you a TA or do you work for Disney Reservations? I am just curious. There is so much chatter and my head is spinning. One guest said she added free dining online herself to and existing res. Another was a TA that added it to an existing res online as well. There is now an edit button to change an offer that was not there before. It makes no sense if all of these agents are calling to in, why would they not do it online themselves. Let me also ask you, the day the FD offer comes out, can we see that on the drop down on our TA portal site with the other offers or is FD and exception? I just want to be ready to call or whatnot on the day any offer is released so I can help my clients.

I want to get in on this thread too, please. I just put my deposit down for Pop Century 9/30-10/4 for me, my boyfriend and his 7 year old daughter for her first trip to Disney! We are so excited, and a little birdie told me he may be proposing to me while we are there!! I am over the moon about all of this, and of course, free dining would make this even better! So if anyone hears, I would really appreciate it! Thanks, hope you all have an awesome trip as well!!

Just remember having a reservation doesn't guaranty free dining. If at all possible I would encourage everyone to make back up plans for when the special is released. There is not much time to think when an offer drops so it's a good idea to be able to say. If this resort is not available on this date I have a backup resort or back up dates ready. Hopefully every one gets their first choice.

Oh I think it's definitely coming. It when that's killing me.

They are speaking of a glitch that appeared to show free dining on a travel agents site and also Google when you clicked on it an error message showed then the link disappeared.

Yes, I was saying I would like to follow Pete, as I follow several others who report when things like this arise, and I like to be on the cutting edge of rumors/news :)

I need to be brought up to speed, we are DVC members that usually have AP's. But we don't have any points this year and we won't be getting AP's now since our travel circumstances have changed. We are now doing what we did in the beginning, booking complete packages.

So how are the free dining packages found online? Do they show up on the WDW booking site when available? I doubt I'll be smart or quick enough to grab one, but I want to try!
