Is there a Fed meeting next week?

I thought I heard they would be meeting and interest rates might go down. Anyone know for sure. I know very little about how they work, but we're interested in dropping to a 15 year mortgage and are curious.

Yes, the Fed meets on Tuesday, but recent interest rate cuts by the Federal Reserve have not affected interest rates much at all. In fact for awhile they were going up as the Fed was bringing rates down.

I think 30 year rates around 6.0% and 15 year around 5.25% currently.
