Hey girls!!!

So sorry I haven't posted another update yet... DH and I have been really busy around the house all weekend. Got all the leaves out of the back yard and we're about 90% done with the downstairs flooring.

I did start my next update but I still need to finish it. I PROMISE it'll be up for your reading pleasure tomorrow night.

When is your wedding?!

We haven't set a date for the wedding yet. We initially thought we'd do 3/31/12 because after one more week of 4 days of work, I'd be off for Easter break. We'd be able to go on our Disneymoon! However, because I already have my dress and my bridesmaids have their dresses, my mom suggested we do it at the end of next year instead of waiting. So right now, we don't quite have a date! We want it to be as simple as possible to save money since both of our jobs don't pay much. We know we'll need the money for the apartment instead!

I'm going to be honest with you.... There were things that DH and I wanted for the wedding but we decided to cut out because of $$ issues. We NEVER once said "gee I wish we kept the bigger centerpieces" or "man, I wish we had more decorations at the ceremony site" Simple little touches here and there make all the difference... sometimes i think some brides go overboard. When we get to the wedding day you'll see that we had very minimal decor... I'm glad we saved the money!

Yea I was not a happy camper when i got that phone call But dont worry, In the next update I will tell you about the meeting we had withour new officiant and how AMAZING he was!

Ok so where did we leave off.... Oh yes! We were all checked in and showing off the resort!

::sigh:: My home away from home After showing off the resort we all decided to go to our rooms and see if our luggage had been delivered yet. Ta-Da it was! We unpacked everything we knew we'd need for the wedding and the next few days. Then Dh decided he wanted to go hang out with his brothers for a bit. I jumped up on the bed and started watching classic Disney TV You know those channels with the disney Must Do's! I must have nodded off because all of a sudden my phone was beeping saying that I had a voicemail and missed call. I listened to the voicemail and it was Pastor Luther... Uh OH! He was letting me know that he was waiting in the lobby for us. I was so excited and pre-occupied I completely forgot that Pastor Luther was going to be coming to the resort for our meeting. I ran down the hall and grabbed DH and told him to get in the room and make it look presentable while I went to go get Pastor Luther. I ran down the stairs... apparently I thought the elevators would take too long and started searching the Lobby. I found him sitting on one of the many lobby couches with a giant smile on his face taking in all there was too see in the lobby. He was just so cute! I introduced myself and he gave me the biggest and best hug ever! I told him DH was waiting for us in the room and that I was sorry I missed his call. He said it was fine because the AKL was his favorite resort. He was telling me how his grandbabies come to visit and they always stay there with them.

We got to the room and Pastor Luther asked if we wanted to involve any of the bridal party. My DSis's weren't there as of yet so we grabbed DBIL's and brought them in the room with us. We went over the whole ceremony which i LOVED! It was better than the original ceremony we picked out and coming from the pastor it just sounded so romantic and sweet. He joked around a bunch with us and everything just seemed to fit! We went over everything one more final time and then bid him farewell. I couldn't have been happier! I think both DH and I sighed a breath of relief!

DBIL's went back to their room and it was time for DH and I to get ready for our dinner at JIKO. I had been waiting to eat here for YEARS!... literally! I even had the best dress ever picked out for the occasion. After freshening up and doing hair and make up I was ready to go. DH on the other hand couldn't tie his tie... He ran down to his DB who he had tie it for him.

Here we are all cleaned up and ready for dinner!

We had sometime to kill so we decided to head down to Victoria falls and grab a drink... As we were leaving the room we ran into DBIL's. They were on their way to the lobby to meet DIL's. They were going to grab dinner somewhere off site. We went down with them and decided to show off the resort again... we just LOVE doing that

It was getting close to our ressie time so we said bye to everyone and headed down to JIKO. We arrived to amazingly friendly staff! We were seated rather quickly and the atmosphere was fantastic. We were greated by our waiter... i'm going to butcher his name i'm sure but i think it was spelt Nessar. He was AMAZING! He brought us a free mini appetizer to try and suggested a yummy wine.

We ordered the Filet Mignon with the mac and cheese. The food came and when I tell you it blew our minds away! It was so good I think I inhaled the food! that meat didn't have a chance! DH however savored every bite. We were almost done eating when Nessar came over with the resort phone. He said someone needed to speak with us and it was very important. I got so scared Did something happen to someone in our group? Was something wrong wedding wise?! Nessar left the phone and said the caller was on hold and would come back on the speaker in a moment. We were both listening when all of a sudden minnie and mickey came on the phone to wish us a congrats on our upcoming wedding!!!!! I started to cry like a big baby and DH had the biggest smile on his face. Nessar came back to retreive the phone and brought us a creme brulee

IT WAS SOOOOO GOOOOOD!

We were also on the DDP so we also got our own desserts

We said goodnight to Nessar and left JIKO. I stopped at the front desk to tell the manager that Nessar was AMAZING (I am one of those people who give praise to managers when their employees are awesome) The manager said thank you for letting him know and he said to hold on a moment. He came back to the desk with a Congrats card from all the employees at JIKO. Again I cried like a baby.

By this time DH and I were really tired. We ran up to the room and changed into more comfy clothes, grabbed a couple beers and decided to enjoy the nice evening weather on one of the AKL balconies. It was the perfect ending to a perfect evening.

Alright i'm going to stop here. Next update will include, AK, family dinner at BOMA, and Night before the wedding.

Omg SUPER awesome! It was so cool having minnie and mickey saying congrats to us! And it was so sweet for nessar to do that for us. I'm kicking myself in the butt for not getting a picture with him. I wanted one so bad but it was so busy I didn't want to bother him.

Lol yes... the TSA's exact words were "huh, looks like someone is getting a nice engagement ring on this trip" I was so mad... all I can do is think that he probably found out his wife was cheating on him with a better looking guy or something and he was bitter

This trip through the airport was MUCH better!

There are MANY more pictures to come... I just got an email from my photographer... apparently i have ANOTHER cd of all the heavily edited pictures on the way! So excited to get them!
