I rented Chicago 2 weeks ago and haven't been able to watch it yet. If I don't return it tomorrow by noon, I'm going to have to pay for yet another week's rental on it, so am considering watching it today.

Is it sad in any way, shape, or form?

I wouldn't call it sad at all. There is one character that you feel kind of bad for & the song he sings is kind of sad, but it isn't a sad movie.

I'd agree that it's not sad. I think I'd describe it as funny in a "dark" sort of way.

It's more about celebrity and the fickle nature of fame, using people, jealousy, mistaken thoughts, poor communication, using appearances and influence to get what you want. That is all woven into a story about jailed female killers.

There's a lot going on in Chicago but well worth watching.

Do watch it. It is very good.
Not sad at all and I cry at the drop of a hat.

Not sad. Watch Mr. Richard Gere's songs! Love him!!

Good thought sent your way, Tammi.

DO watch it. If anything, it will pick up your mood and you'll forget your problems for 120 minutes.

It's dark, its sarcastic, not sad. And you'll be surprised how those songs stay in your head! ......"The word on everybody's lips is gonna be.....ROXY!! Rooooxy Haaart!"
