Is the Haunted Mansion Hearse still gone?

When we went to MK for my birthday May 2nd, We went to the HM. As we exited the absence of the carriage is staggering.

I can't imagine the Mansion without the invisible horse. Most suggested that it was gone only for refurbishment, however, never have I seen Disney just do one item at a time in a refurbishment.

Has anyone seen it since the first of the month?

We were at Haunted Mansion three times on Monday! No hearse yet. However, if you look very closely, there is a miniature hearse in the spot. We almost missed it! We also found the wedding ring in the concrete! My son actually bought the hearse die cast and the bobble heads of the "hitchhiking ghosts." They are both very cool.

Pin Trader--my question precisely. My kids were driving me crazy asking me. We never were able to get an answer. Hopefully someone on the boards has the answer.

We asked last weekend about it and the CM said it was being refurbished and would be back soon.

Fear not, foolish mortals. The hearse is being refurbished and will return soon. Yes, it happens about once a year. Yes, it has been that way for a while. Yes, Disney does rehabs on individual items (Before Jungle Cruise got FastPass, there was a Chevrolet Woodie parked out front. That car disappeared twice for rehabs between the time I started and when we got FastPass.)

Where can I buy the die cast model with harness and "invisible" horse. My show Percheron draft horses and hubby loves HM -- seems like the perfect little stocking stuffer.
