We are taking DD to WDW for her first trip next year. We live in South Florida so we will drive and bring her stroller with us (she'll be 2 1/2 then). But my fella has expressed concern for the stiller being stolen, so I got to thinking, is there a stroller LoJack? Like a "find my iPhone" kinda thing but for your stroller? Any ideas? TIA!!

It's been a few years since we last went, but I never worried about someone swiping our stroller- we rented a double jogger 4 & 5 years ago and even left things in/under the stroller. Sometimes the castmembers move them while you are in line, but it is usually pretty quick to find your stroller again, especially if there is something unique about it.

You can lock a front wheel to the stroller structure to make it a pain to roll around, but you can't lock it to anything else at WDW. Just make sure a CM can move the stroller by tilting it on two wheels.

I wouldn't worry about anyone stealing your stroller. I've never heard of that happening at Disney world. I left our stroller parked all the time with our backpack and even all of our souvenirs in it and everything was always still there when we got back.

We have traveled with an expensive double, a cheap double, a really expensive single jogger, and 2 cheap singles. They have never been stolen.

My husband has a habit (a bad one) of leaving his phone in the folded up canopy on the stroller (more times than I can count) and even that has never been stolen

I wouldn't worry about it.

I mean I wouldn't chance it leaving expensive things in it, but I wouldn't worry about the stroller itself.

Thanks guys! We are in very new territory here. I haven't taken more than a wallet into the parks for many years, let alone a stroller full of baby gear.

I appreciate all your input!! :disrocks:

I agree, that I wouldn't worry about it. We have brought pricey strollers both times we went, and I have never heard of anyone having a problem. I wouldn't want to make the stroller a pain to move because the CMs do move them around a lot. I think if you are worried the old cell phone is probably the best option (and least expensive)

I have done WDW with kids of all ages, from infants to teens. We have always carried a back pack. The contents of the back pack have changed over the years, but we found the back pack easy because if we didn't feel like carrying it while walking we shoved it in the stroller basket, but it was easy to manage in line and kept our hands free for dealing with kids.

Also it's pretty rugged, so no matter what rides we were on we could throw it on the floor of the car and just put a foot through the strap if we needed to worry about it flying out.

Unfortunately it does happen. Not so long ago there was a poster who saw someone walking away with their stroller, and followed them out the park. They alerted a CM and when confronted the person had multiple strollers in their vehicle. It may be fairly rare, but it does happen. Also, I would never ever leave anything of value in a stroller. Not any more than I would go to the mall and leave stuff unattended and expect it to be there later. Theft definitely doesn't stop at the Disney gates. Never leave anything on your stroller you would be devastated to have come up missing.

We have a stroller lock. A wire cable pulls through the wheels and unlocks with a code. I got it in 2013 because I was very nervous about taking our expensive Bob stroller to Disney. In two trips I've never once used it.

We never leave anything of value in it but park it and forget it all the time.

You may not use any kind of cable lock on a stroller. You will be requested to check it at Package pickup if Security sees you with it.

As stated, don't leave anything of value in your stroller when it is unattended.

I don't think it's going to become an issue.
It is not necessary to be there that early to sign up. People are getting to HS early for different reasons and if you are there that early they are letting you sign up. Which is

Do you have a source that a alleged rule? I have rolled around with our stroller lock on the back axel of our stroller for two trips and nobody has ever said a word. I'm referring to the kind that threads through the wheels; not the kind that you chain to a post. Many Disney centered blogs and websites recommend purchasing them.

I am a Security Host and we have been told this at briefings. A stroller must me free to be moved by a Cast Member at any time.

If it's not posted anywhere then it's not a rule. Go ahead and try to take my stroller or my stroller lock and see how that works out for you.

Thanks! For all that you do; i'm sure you guys get a lot of grief in your position, but we appreciate you!

good luck with that. They can and will cut the lock and rearrange the strollers. And all you will get is a polite, you are not allowed to lock them to anything. Besides where would you lock it that it wasn't in the way. Its not like there are bike racks in the stroller parking area to lock to. So in all likelihood you are locking it to a fence or light post or bench, something that you can either damage or that its in the way of traffic. You can lock it to itself. I have done that but after half a day it was a pain and I stopped unless we were leaving it for a long time.

Which is exactly the type of lock to which I'm referring. Thank you for helping me prove my point as the security team has obviously never confiscated either of our locks.

Mine was still able to be moved just not pushed long distances. They could lift the rear wheels a bit and push it on the front wheels or if I locked the front lean it back and push it on the rear. If they can't move it they will cut the lock
