" ... Celebrity, a sister line to Royal Caribbean, said it would begin seven-night sailings out of St. Martin on June 5 that will feature calls at such destinations as Aruba, Curaçao and Barbados. The trips will take place on the line’s 2,218-passenger Celebrity Millennium — a ship that originally was scheduled to spend the summer in Alaska... "

Ah. Yes. We knew that RCCL had a few sailings planned from Nassau, etc. Maybe they'll add more.

What is your itinerary?
Bermuda is actually one of the ports on the back end but basically it is Coco Cay and Bermuda with a technical stop in freeport. We are just ready to cruise after 17 months away and it is a birthday celebration. We got a stern suite with a corner wrap around balcony. Was never about the itinerary for us, just excited to be back on the water. Happy Cruising

Awwww nice.

That being said, CocoCay is a great stop... Cherry on top! ;)

Any idea what constitutes a "technical stop"? Do they just go to the port and turn around and leave without actually docking? What is the purpose?

A stop where guests do not get off. The ships stops to get fuel, food, other merchandise or government requirements. Only for a few hours.

Thanks. I'm guessing this is a Bahama requirement then to be sure that the line spends enough $$$ for the economy.

Maybe the camera cost is resulting from mounting Covid expenses.(or losses)

First for Florida: Royal Caribbean sister brand's Celebrity Edge will sail from Ft Lauderdale, Florida on June 26 for a seven night cruise to the Caribbean. The cruise ship will be the first vessel to depart from a U.S. port for a Caribbean cruise since March 2020. They got approval from the CDC and are skipping the test cruise in favor of the vaccine requirements. (Royal itself is going with the test cruises, Celebrity is not, even though they are both owned by Royal)
