DD is off for most of November plus I want to avoid the heat and high high high humidity. (I'm from CA and I hate sweating like a pig.:goodvibes)

I don't mind going off season... I know some people do bc so much is closed for refurb, etc

Is Nov even off season? :confused3

:rotfl: I've never been to WDW please forgive the insanity!!

IMHO November is the absolute best time to go - we usually go during the first two weeks - as you lead up to Thanksgiving it gets manic.

Weather is lovely - mid to high 20s (not sure what that is in F) and warm enough to swim but not hot enough to melt. As you go further into November the evenings can get cool so you might want a light sweater.

Crowd levels are low - one of the waterparks is shut for refurb - but we usually get to do all the top attractions.

Yes, there will be attractions that are down for refurb, BUT the weather is perfect and the crowds are very manageable.
We've gone in a lot of the different "down times", October, early December, and January...
I would always pick early December 1st because the Christmas decorations are up, but November is a close second. Stay away from Thanksgiving weekend, but the rest is great.

For three years in a row we've arrived on Thanksgiving day and stayed until the first Sunday in December. The weather's GREAT! Temps are so nice and we've been very lucky and never had rain! That's for ALL three years at this time! Seems to rain a little at night after we're all in bed and is beautiful the next morning.

Everything is crowded until the Sunday after Thanksgiving when people pack up and leave.

Christmas decorations are up and MVMCP has started.

I think it's my favorite time to visit. :woohoo:

Amost forgot...airline tickets seem to be cheaper if you travel ON Thanksgiving Day. ;)

I agree 100%. We were there last year in Nov for our first family trip and now we are totally spoiled. Minimal lines, beautiful weather. It does get cold at night so you will need jackets. Have fun!

We went Thanksgiving week last year and it was my favorite. Crowds were low until the Friday after Thanksgiving and even then it wasn't as bad as summer crowds. We have been in May, June, August, September and November and November is my favorite.

We went the first week of November and it was wonderful! Low crowds, perfect weather but no humidity, plus nothing that I can remember was down for refurb. I highly recommend going in November. :D

does it rain in November? not that it would bother me much. I love the parks in the rain. I am packing poncho';s but not sure what or if it really still rains in the afternoon there in November.

We were there for our honeymoon Oct 30 - Nov 3 in 2006. Weather was beautiful. Low 80's. Didnt rain once. Our longest wait time was 15 minutes & that was only once. Most were walk on. Hardly any crowds except when we went to MNSSHP. That was to be expected. We got to see both Halloween decorations & the majority of XMAS decorations were up by the time we left.

In contrast we took DH's parents back this past April. It was so humid & hot. It rained almost everyday, tho just for a short time. Every ride was at least 20 minute wait.

We will always go "off-season" from now on.

:yay: Thank you all for responding with such good news! DD4 is on a modified single track school system so she is out of school for most of November... Looks like it's time to start planning a 2010 November trip!!!

November is our favourite time to visit, we usually stay for 2 weeks and leave just before Thanksgiving. Parks not to busy, weather lovely not to hot and rainfall low and it is great seeing all the Christmas decorations going up. Perfect. :)

I will be there until the 10th, will there be christmas lights up ? will the castle be all lit up?? I wish I could have been there during the holidays but I did not want to be there with so much going on.
