Is Naples kid friendly?

The restaurant Naples? Yep its great for kids! We have a 1 yr old, 4 yr old and 8 yr old and they loved it...they even have balloon makers go around to your table!
You may have to wait for a table so get there early :rolleyes1

Great, thank you so much! We already have PS reservations, hopefully we won't have to wait too long for a table.

Naples is very kid-friendly :) My dd's like to get the raw pizza dough to play with as soon as we're seated...

Have a great dinner :goodvibes

Yes. we went with 4 and 5 yr olds. Ate inside once and outside once.
FYI--The balloon person works on tips. And they are able to make small items, such as a braclet for a little girl (much less bulk to carry around for the rest of the day)

I love balloon artists!!!!!! Especially when they offer small stuff :)

The balloon artists made the most elaborate balloon sculptures that I have ever seen period. They are SO COOL. Definitely kid friendly.

I've heard a lot of people post bad things about Naples - but I am a bit of a foodie and the service and food was good in my experience. Any restaurant experience can be bad on occassion, especially if your server is bad.

We liked the restaurant itself, but the food we had was horrible. When my kids won't eat pizza, that's bad. I myself will eat pretty much any kind of pizza and like it, but I couldn't stomach what they served.

It seems to be hit or miss at Naples, as I've read many reports of food like we experienced, but others have really enjoyed it. What I had could not have been described as good by anyone, so I know it wasn't just a matter of taste.

I agree with DizMe and Hester in that is does seem to very hit or miss with Naples, and that some people seem to have very strong opinions about Naples! I have defintiely read many people's reviews that said it was not good at all, in any way, shape or form, but my own experiences with it have been good. I wouldn't say that it is a must-do for every trip, but I could easily eat there every other trip, or maybe every other year or so. I thought it was fine. The service was attentive, prompt and friendly, and I liked my pizza, though it is a different taste than 'franchise pizza,' that's for sure, but the portions are good (the smallest size of pizza is big enough for 2 or 3 people, depending on how much your family eats). My friend loved her food each time (chicken piccata and a meatball sandwich). So I would say for us it was a :thumbsup2.

But to the original question - yes, it's kid-friendly. There are all kinds of colorful Italian sodas and drinks available, and when we have been there we've seen big brthday parties for kids with huge pizzas being brought to the tables and goody bags and things.

And the outdoor tables are good for people watching!

I guess I should add that the main reason my kids and I were unable to eat the pizza was because it was HOT, HOT, HOT, and I don't mean temperature-wise. There was so much spice on it that our lips burned before it even went in, and we had to drink water all evening. I ate a few bites because I was hungry and it was expensive but I just couldn't stomach it, literally. We did complain but were told that is how they make it. We waited so long for our food to begin with that we didn't feel like wasting any more time and just left. We decided it would not be a place we'd visit again. The funny thing is that I like the pizza-by-the-slice they have in their take-out next door (Napolini), which is nothing fancy but something along the lines of Sbarro. Since it's the same company, I thought the pizza would be the same. I also figured we just got a bad batch on our visit but after reading many other complaints on this board, I'm not so sure.

Wow! I wouldn't have been able to deal with that either. I can't handle spicy things in general so I would not have gotten two bites into a pizza like that. See my pizzas were not like that at Naples. It does seem like Naples appears to be inconsistent in the way they make their food, based on what DIS-ers have said, and based on my experiences there. I didn't get a hot/spicy pizza, but one time my pizza was underbaked and the next time it was overbaked...and yet I still liked it both times because the fllavor was good!! It did puzzle me as to how two of the same pizzas could have come out so differently on two different occasions. But overall, my experiences there have been very good - however, I would have a different opinion altogether if they had served me something so spicy.

Big Naples fan here (for which I have had to defend myself for years lol) and I too would not have liked that spicy sort of pizza. That is one of the things I have always enjoyed at Naples, good pizza that's not spicy (the only kind my kids will eat). So I hope that was isolated and not the new way of doing things!

For us, its always been great food, very good service and kid friendly.

we have never been to naple's but a trip to DL is NOT complete till we have a slice of pizza and calzone with a pomegranate Izzy drink from Napolini. I love their pizza!!
