Is Memory Maker the only photo option?

Is Memory Maker the only option to purchase or is there any photo pass options that are less expensive? With a little one, we won't have a need for ride photos so I didn't know if there was anything else or not.

PhotoPass CD is also available. It includes all PhotoPass pics except rides/dinner. There was a link for a pre-arrival discount, but no longer active. However, the price is about the same with PhotoPass CD and Pre-Arrival MM. You need to purchase 3 days before MM activation to qualify for discount.

I think you can also buy individual photos for 15$ each. That is what I plan to do if there's gems in the lot.

Yes, I just had a few photos taken (they scanned my magicband afterward) and they are $14.95 for a 4 x 6 inch print. I also had the CMs at the character meet and greets take photos with my phone.

The pre-arrival discount for the PhotoPass Archive CD is still available:

And you don't need to purchase MM 3 days before activation to qualify for the discount. It's just that if you have any pictures taken within 3 days of purchasing it, they won't be included.

So the photo pass CD will get me all the pics and I can do the edits and add borders and stuff. Memory Maker will get me access to my pics online to edit but also adds ride photos and restaurant photos? I'm trying to figure out the best option for my family of three - I definitely want one of the two.

Also, for the breakfast at CRT, if I have the Memory maker, will the pictures with Cinderella be added to it or do we just get the hard copy of the pictures?

Thank the Lord Baby Jesus!!!! LOL Seriously, I couldn't get any of the links I found to work for this. Thank you so much for posting this. ;)

I find this all so confusing! Let me see if I'm getting this right...

Memory Maker is $149, Photopass is $119

Memory Maker includes all Photopass photos plus rides and restaurants.

Photopass is just the pictures taken by the photographers in the parks.

Memory Maker is completely digital--I need to go online and download all my pictures. But then I can add borders, different sizes, multiple images, etc. Basically I own the photos once downloaded.

Photopass includes a CD--but I still need to go online and do the borders and sizes, etc. It's just that then they're put on a CD instead of downloaded to my computer.

Neither includes anything printed. Everything is digital and I'm responsible for having stuff printed myself.

Have I got this all right? Looks like for an extra $30, I get to add all the ride photos--which are huge for my family--so that seems to be a better deal. Once downloaded, I can just burn a CD at home. Am I missing anything?

Ok, it's been a while since I've been to Disney, and we are going in October, but only for a weekend. I'm not planning to buy MM or Photopass. Can I still buy a photo that the photographer takes for $15.00 (If I like one)? How would I be able to view the photo? I will have a magic band, but I guess what I'm asking is if I do not buy either one, MM or Photopass, can I still have the photographers take my picture and will I be able to view and buy that picture?

Memory Maker is $149, Photopass is $119

PRE ORDERED photopass is $119. PRE ORDERED MM is $149. After the fact they are $169 and $199.

Yes

Well, pics taken at restaurants that include the photos in the price of the meal like CRT or Akershus, you can add the digital photos taken to your Photopass account.

Sort of. Photopass includes a CD of stock images (I believe), you can still do borders just the same as MM, and you used to have the option of the CD being mailed OR downloading to a computer. I always downloaded. So you can download if you want. You still own the images once downloaded.

Right.

I don't think so. ;)

Yes. Put all the pictures either onto a PP card that photogs will give you, or your MB and then you can view them on the PP website. You can order digital photos separately for $15.00.

I'm not sure if you have to physically link your MB to the photopass website. Maybe check that out before you get there. I know you can use the MB for collecting photos without having MM.

Ok I don't mean to hijack this thread...but what rides are included with MM?

We always get the photo book but never use the picture for anything else. We do like to get the ride photos though. I think you used to get a digital copy all of the ride photos for $50. Is that still an option?

Yep, my friends were at WDW last week for a wedding and they bought Attractions+ for ride photos for $50 - it's available only at the parks, no online pre-order as far as I know.

You can't get MM after you get home. You can get it in the parks and that's when it would cost $199.

Yes

Actually, you would add the borders before you download.

The PhotoPass + CD (which was replaced by MM) included a CD of stock images but the PhotoPass Archive CD doesn't.

Just the digital copy. No hard print with MM. With the retired PhotoPass+, you get both with made PP+ a great deal. If I read the details on MM, I would have pre-ordered PP+ for this year. Both the same price, MM doesn't give stock photo CD or print package at dinner.
