Is Member Services getting a little slow?

On all our previous trips since becoming DVC members, it seems that our written confirmations arrived in the mail within 3-5 days after making the call to MS. This trip, I called and reserved a week ago yesterday, and have yet to get our written confirmations. Has anybody else noticed a slowdown in this process? Just getting a little concerned; want to see if there is any Magical Express information in the envelope before I call about it...

Could be the post office that's slowing down. My confirmations have pretty much taken at least a full week to reach me for the last few years.

Mine have been taking longer also. I think it's on DVC's end, on one of mine I noticed the meter stamp was 1 week later.

I've always been told 7 to 10 days. As long as I have a confirmation number I usually don't think about the confirmation paper until it arrives.

I don't think I've paid that much attention in the past as to how long the comnfirmation took to arrive. Once I have the confirmation #, I am pretty happy.

The last three trips where I have called day by day, I have never recieved a comfirmation. I have had to call everytime to get one..... and this is months after I booked.

The one trip where I didnt book day by day the confirmation arrived within the 7-10 days.

OK, got my confirmations today (one for the first 5 nights in a standard view 1br and one for the last night in a std view studio; on the waitlist for a 1br for the last night). I made the reservations on 3/25, the envelopes were postage-metered on 3/31, and I received them on 4/4, 10 days after making them.

One thing I found very interesting though; I was hoping that there would be something in them about Magical Express, since it will be our first trip during the period that is in effect. However, the only transportation flyer with them was the old standard $3 off coupon for Mears! (Like I'm gonna spend $29 apiece to ride a less comfortable bus and have to schlep my own bags around!) Guess we're all just supposed to know about Magical Express on our own...good thing we hang out at these boards!

I reserved on Monday and got the confirmation in the mail on Friday

If you haven't received anything after 6 weeks or so, call and ask. I had to do that and was told that everything was OK but the previous CM had neglected to "push the button" that sent our confirmation letter. Although I hadn't called day-by-day, I did do it in two pieces.

Gee, and I thought they were coming faster than they used to! I don't remember gettting them much less than 10 days before, but this last one came in 5. I suspect they do as a lot of other companies, and mail those types of things out in bulk only 1 or 2 days a week.
