Is Marvel trying to focus on the popular superheroes than focus on the other superheroes?

Just like Disney promotes their Disney Princess line and Star Wars line I have noticed that Marvel is starting the exact same thing with their superheroes and I can't figure it out. Is it because they know what sells or is it a marketing thing for merchandise? Because ever since Doctor Strange II became the talk of the town I noticed that Doctor Strange is now seen everywhere from action figures to plushies and so it tells me that Marvel wants Doctor Strange to be the star superhero of Marvel. Another superhero that has also become big is Vision and ever since Wandavision came out you see Vision featured more than Wanda and Vision action figures are in almost every store you name and how Vision became so big I'll never understand. I also noticed that whenever a new series or new Marvel movie comes out the superstar hero steals the show but you never see merchandise based on the character in the show. Take for example now that Moon Knight is a hit anything with Moon Knight is scarce and you might think that Marvel should've made merchandise for Moon Knight. Is this Marvel's way of focusing on the new superheroes?

I think with the release of Doctor Strange II and the new Thor movie debuting in theaters soon I think Marvel is gonna try to make Thor and Doctor Strange be the top Marvel superheroes and they will make more Thor merchandise and lots more for Doctor Strange. Because as I mentioned in my opening post Marvel is trying to pay more attention to the other heroes a lot more. Take for instance when Guardians Of The Galaxy came out the top Marvel superhero became Star Lord but the star of merchandise was Groot and was seen in plushies shirts toys and just about anything you name. But when Disney+ debuted Hawkeye last year Hawkeye became the center of attention but Hawkeye merchandise was scarce to find and the same thing happened with Loki as well. And now Captain America seems to be forgotten about and is now replaced with Iron Man and Vision and Moon Knight and the same thing also happened to Black Panther and even though Chadwick Boseman is dead Black Panther merchandise is also scarce to find. Marvel needs to focus more on Spider Man and the other original Marvel superheroes by marketing them more rather than just focusing on the top heroes

Doctor Strange is now seen everywhere because he's the main character of the next movie. It's called brand synergy.

It's all paid for out of a movie's marketing budget. There is always a big product push leading up to the premier of a film. Then, after the opening weekend box office is officially, it pretty much stops cold turkey and they start rolling out the merch to drive people to the next film. Disney+ series won;t get the same marketing push because they don't a $100 million marketing budget. And characters that Disney doesn't control outright (like Spider-Man, whose film rights are controlled by Sony and East Coast theme park rights are controlled by Universal), they are more selective of marketing.

I think that with the new Doctor Strange movie opening today Doctor Strange just might replace Spider-Man as Marvel's top superhero for popularity but I can tell once the new Thor Love And Thunder movie opens next Doctor Strange will become second in popularity. I also think Marvel is also trying to market toward girls by having the female superheroes get more attention and it seems that in the female superheroes Ms. Marvel Black Widow Wanda and Captain Marvel seem to be the most sought after female superheroes in merchandise and She-Hulk and Spider-Gwen are the least popular in Marvel. But Kate Bishop is becoming popular too along with America Chavez

It's called "promotion" for those movies. They're not going to release Thor 4 and promote a movie that comes out in 2 years over that one.
