I keep reading references about stouffers frozen meals and LTT. I have never been there and I am wondering if this is true? I knew that they had stouffers mac and cheese, but what about the rest?:confused3

That's what it reminded me of. (All of it LOL!)

1) The turkey and beef are processed loaves.
2) The mac-and-cheese APPEARS to be pre-made.
3) Couldn't tell about the mashed potatoes, but fresh seems doubtful.
4) Either way, I thought it was good for a character meal.

NOTE: Character meals are not known for the food. WDW skimps on the food and makes the profit because of the character appearances. The meals are usually tasty, but not more than pedestrian on quality and form.

This does not sound good at all!! I am going though mainly for the characters. It will be our first meal at Disney! I just want it to be special.

The food is good. If you're expecting a five star meal, forget it. If you want good food with great character interaction, it's wonderful.

I much prefer Chef Mickey's, but that's just me. I like the old-school Disney feel to it. If you are looking for a quality mean then LTT (or any of the character meals) aren't the place to be. However, if you are looking for a fun dining experience that is quite memorable for children then they are great. I would describe the food more like Ponderosa restaurant (are they still around?) than Stouffers.

I thought it was pretty gross. The least appealing food we ate all week.

We changed an adr from raglen road to here because we decided to do the pirate partry again and this basically was what they had open. i tried for Ohanas but figured that was not going to happen. This was our first visit to WDW, and I had read about LTT. The salad was bitter from the dressing DH did not like it, and I did not care for the bitter taste. The mac and cheese is stouffers (in fact I think they sponsor this meal) I could be wrong. The turkey was I thought a bit dry, the steak was ok and only ok, the mashed potatoes were good, the gravy was good, the stuffing reminded me of stove top, but it was still good the green beans seemed fresh they werent like super limp and over cooked. For dessert we were served apple cobbler with ice cream. It was good I doubt made from scratch though, and we were NOT given the option to order for extra cost any other desserts as mentioned on all ears, nor were they on the menu they gave you to show you what was being served and what the drinks offered were.

We go to LTT at least once per trip (usually twice) because of the GREAT food there!!

To the PP who said the beef and turkey are processed loaves...THAT IS TOTALLY INCORRECT!! I don't know when you went or what memory that was, but if it was processed then I don't know real meat.

The Mac n Cheese was DELICIOUS (and I don't like mac n cheese), the rolls taste homemade, though I know they are not. The salad is a DREAM, the ham, beef & turkey moist and delicious, mashed potatoes and gravY AWESOME and dessert DECADENT.

It tastes NOTHING like a Stouffer frozen entree, it is just sponsored by Stouffer.

As far as food goes, it ties for number one in my character meal preferences. WE LOVE LTT!!!!:cloud9:

I am glad to hear this!! This sounds much better. We are going to go regardless, for the characters, but I was really just wondering about the food!:cutie:

Heh I was just there and if the turkey is real you could have fooled me, and the beef was VERY thin. Some of what they serve is stouffers. I was not trying to bash the place down, but as far as a meal I really personally wished we would have been able to try some place else.

The turkey is not processed. No meats at Disney TS restaurants are processed, and all restaurants are overseen by professional chefs. I don't know of any chef anywhere who would allow a processed meat off the kitchen line. Sorry, it is not processed.

We ate here before MNSSHP and enjoyed the meal--especially the salad with strawberry vinaigrette and the flank steak. The characters stopped by several times too.

I loved LTT. This is the only place where I'll eat turkey. I loved everything about it and I'm a picky eater.

I really did not like my meal at LTT at all for dinner...

It tasted like warmed frozen food to me (except the bread)

I wonder if the ones saying it tastes like a frozen dinner are:
1. really good cooks themselves(as I am)
2. have eaten alot of frozen dinners so they know what they taste like
:rotfl2:

Just kidding, but seriously, I am a great cook(not to brag on myself or anything) and I find myself being able to make some things better than what I have eaten at many restaurants! The good news is that I will not be cooking on vacation at WDW!

We loved LTT, we ate there June 2006 and it is my fav restaurant at WDW. Its pretty much a big skillet meal of "thanksgiving food" thats all you can eat and character interaction. I never thought at 20 years old I would have enjoyed it so much. Our table was towards the back in a corner with a few other tables of families so it was like we had our own section at the hotel. We were totally stuffed after the meal so we checked out Haunted Mansion and Mickeys Fil Magic for some calm adventures before hitting the big rides again!!

We thought the food was really good, and the character interaction was great when we went to LTT!

We had an OK meal at LTT. I would recommend it and go back (but it isn't a MUST DO.) DH loved the pork, and I stuffed myself silly.

My family personally really enjoyed the food and characters. My husband LOVES their green beans. They were very fresh, still crisp. And all of the meat was cooked perfectly, the turkey was not dry etc. We were there for the first dinner crowd, so maybe that is why all the food tasted fresh?? Anyhow, we enjoyed it.
