Is it worth it to get up to go to a morning EMH at Hollywood Studios?

We will be staying at the Beach Club which is close but is it worth getting up early and going? What all is open during morning EMH?

It is difficult to assess if something is "worth it" for someone else.

The headliners;

TSMM
RNRC
Tower of Terror
Star Tours
Launch Bay
Muppets

are scheduled to be open for AM EMH.

Maybe not a compelling case unless you want to do TSMM twice or don't want to wait too long for RnRC

If you want to sign up for Jedi Trials of the Temple, then it might be less crowded during AM EMH. Launch Bay and it's meet and greets are supposed to be less crowded then too.

I have ridden 6 times in a row on RNRC during EMH. Definitely worth it for me! In fact, I think I will go to DHS for EMH then head to the water park in May! :)

RNRC is my favorite.

personally i think AM EMH at any park is well worth it.

at HS during AM EMH we can easily get on RNRC twice and TOT twice and then leisurely wander over to GMR to wait for it to open.

we get FP+ for TSM so we don't bother making the mad dash to it.

Definitely for TSMM as joannamet said above! We love to ride 1st thing, and FP so we can ride again later. Or you could ride and use your Tier 1 FP for something else. Also good if you want to meet SW characters at Launch Bay as soon as park opens to avoid lines. Then you could jump in line for RnRC/ToT, head to Star Tours, Muppets, Great Movie Ride, Indiana Jones, and whatever else you'd like and be done by early afternoon. You could take a break at and come back for night shows, or hop to another park for evening.

I think it's worth it. While many people are running toward TSMM, we take advantage of the short line at RNRC, then head for TOT. When the park opens at 9:00 am, we hit GMR. We use our Tier 1 FP+ for TSMM.

I've read many good things about it, so we plan on trying it during our trip in the fall. But I have also read that in order to be at the front of the pack you need to be at the park by 7:15 am. We fly in the day before, so I'm sure we will be tired, and I haven't shared that little nugget with my travel buddy yet. :ssst: But I am planning on getting in a bunch of rides on TSM and RnR, and heading back to the resort for a nap when we hit the wall.

RNRC is my favorite.

Our DHS day last May was a Star Wars weekend day. I figured I could hit TOT (I had multiple FPs from my family) and RNRC a few times while everyone was signing up for the meets with the Star Wars stars. It was down all day. In fact is was down 2.5 days straight. I did get four rides on TOT.

If we go we will only be going to EMH then head back to the resort and go to another park in the evening. We are hoping to go to AK if it is open late.

I think it's only worth it IF:

  • You have never been to DHS before and can really stretch out the day
OR
  • You are going to ParkHop later and use your FPs there
