Is it true that a bird crapping on your shoulder brings good luck? I was told this today by a sweet British lady at Animal Kingdom. I was eating lunch with my daughter outside Yak & Yeti when a bird did it's think on my shoulder. Needless to say, it sort of ruined my lunch, but it will be worth it if it brings good luck. Should I be buying a Powerball ticket?

Certainly here in the UK we think it is good luck - so go buy a Powerball ticket!

I had it happen on my wedding day on my wedding dress. Going on 18 years so yes I would consider it lucky.

Yeah, it is a funny story to remember my wedding by....I was crapped on by a bird on my wedding day.

Well, personally, I am not a superstitious person and I can't wrap my brain around how one could consider getting crapped on to be good luck!! I think the luckier people are the ones who didn't get crapped on. :rotfl2:

Good luck on the lottery though.

I thought it was on the head?

Happened to me 20 years ago and I got hired for my first real job that week.

If you play Powerball and win, I am going to start standing under some trees until a bird craps on me.

I have heard it had to be the HEAD too, and this did happen to my daughter outside the Swan, about umm....8 or 9 years ago, when she was about 9 years old.

She didn't think it was so lucky. ;) I still have the mental image of her reaction. She can  about it now, but then...not so much.

Happened to me once in Italy. I certainly didn't think it was lucky at the time, but I can laugh about it now. Too bad I was overseas, if I'd been home, I could have bought a lottery ticket. :thumbsup2

Well, I have been crapped on plenty at WDW, by the bird species of course. I have had a pretty good life, but could use a run of good luck right about now. Maybe I'll spread some bird seed around my lawn and plop a chair in the middle of it.

I was lucky in a sense. It could have hit my lunch. Fortunately, I'd pretty much finished. Worse yet, it could have hit my daughter. She would not have handled it well. She thought it was really funny that it happened to me. Had it happened to her, you'd probably have heard her scream in the UK!!! :rotfl:

This has happened to me on 3 occassions. The first was when I was 18. Sitting at a redlight in a convertible and it landed on my lap. I was wearing shorts. :headache: Second was while walking around town. That one got in my hair. Third was just last year. Was standing outside at a pizza place eating my slice and all of a sudden it lands on my shoulder and in my hair. My husband just looked at me and said I had the worst luck with that. There were 5 other people standing shoulder to shoulder when it happened.

:rotfl2: tell me if it works ! I have heard this & also if you step in dog c**p in bare feet supposed to be lucky too...there's 8 dogs here I have to admit even though I am a fanatic about cleaning up outside this has happened a few times in a mad dash to the mailbox. Hasn't brought luck that I know of :lmao: (now I throw on the Crocs 1st)

Hey maybe we will all get some kind of crappy tag, then we can say crap is lucky :rotfl2:
