Have they gone up considerably in price? When we went this past January, the Sunrise Safari was $75 pp, and the Wild Africa Trek was $129. If you want to have a more active 'adventure' do the Wild Africa Trek, you are hiking through the jungle, walking on rope bridges, hanging over embankments, you are physically active for 1.5-2 hours until you get on the truck for the safari portion. The Sunrise Safari was wonderful also, but much more relaxed. You meet in the lobby of the hotel, walk to the buses, from the buses to the safari, from the safari to breakfast. That said, it was without a doubt worth the money spent for both trips. If you want to cut down on expenses then you might want to stick with the Sunrise Safari, only because you have to stay at AKL CL to be able to do that outing. You can do the Wild Africa Trek anywhere you stay.

Something else to consider, you have to pay for the Wild Africa Trek when booking, you don't pay for the Sunrise Safari until the morning you go out. They do take your card number for holding purposes, but they don't bill you until you check in at CL that morning.

The Sunrise Safari has been $65/pp for quite some time -- still a bargain!

The Wild Africa Trek was $129 when it was first introduced (and I thought it was definitely well worth the money!), but the cost was going to $189 within a month or 2 of its introduction. While it's a nice adventure, I personally wouldn't pay $189 for it and am glad I got to do it in February at the intro price.

Hooray for being in WDW in the morning!!!

I worry about my Conner when I leave. He's usually mad at me for a day after I get back, but then warms up and acts like nothing happened. Try not to worry too much so you'll enjoy your vacation to the fullest!

Thank you! I'm not worrying too much..I called to see how her 1st night was going and they said she made friends w/a beagle named Luna...How sweet And their rooms have Skype so they set me up w/that so I can see and talk to her..I've tried it once so far, but she was out in the play area.

This will probably be my last post before I leave as well! And I will likely not be posting anything anywhere while I'm gone!

He has joined several different FB groups and has already picked out some roomates. Since he was a little boy all he has ever wanted to do was work for Disney. His Make A Wish several years ago was to DW which included dinner with an imagineer .... he got to ask so many questions and learned so much. His plan as it stands now is to do a semester and maybe extend for one more, come about to CA finish his last two years of college and then apply for an internship with Disney. He's a very strong determined young man so I have no doubts that if this is what he wants he will achieve his goal.

That sounds like a great plan. Good luck to him.

Wow, I'm so glad I was able to do the Wild Africa Trek when I did, I wonder why they hiked the price up, shame on them. I love Disney with a passion but they sure like their dollars!

When I read this I had to laugh at myself really. We drive from Boston to Portland just to get a burger at the Great Lost Bear actually I'm partial to the mother and child reunion but still I've always thought of it as a fun day trip.

Brandi - we are fine. I think your neck of the woods is fine too. Most of the damage was in the northern part of our county (near Quantico) and Fairfax County. Oh, and Louisa County, VA also had tornadoes. That is where the earthquake was centered. Those poor people!

Kathy - I am hoping you woke up this morning with a great big grin on your face as you walk through that new house!!

Jen and snkymom - Have wonderfully amazing trips!

Meg - We love the Sunrise Safari. Haven't done the other, but we would do the SS again in a heartbeat!
