:( I HATE that last day feeling. Enjoy and safe travels!

It was a GREAT last day and a half (and an uneventful, sometimes frustsrating, drive home).

Last full day, we did the Illuminations cruise. There were 5 of us...and we added 5 more new friends we made while at WDW. It was AMAZING (and we found out they offer a DVC discount!).

Then, on our last morning we spent MOST of the AM on Tom Sawyer Island (because that's what the kids wanted to do) and then having lunch with Pooh at CP. We were on the road by about 1:30PM.

Stopped overnight in Wilson, NC, and made it home yesterday about 6 PM. Traffic in Jersey was terrible....with closures on the Jersey Pike for no apparent reason (no accidents, no construction actively going on...nothing I could see) and SLOW drivers on the Garden State. Still...we all held up pretty well.

Now...I'm back at work, sitting at my desk, thinking about our next trip in Dec 2012 and hoping we win Powerball on Wednesday so I can move that date up a bit. :)

That's so mean! :rotfl: I secretly do this sometimes also, just sometimes

...'sometimes', eh??

....gee...and to think - I would have been STUCK in that dang-glasted baby car seat....

I managed all weekend not to unpacked and repack my suitcase but .... I'm feeling a little weak today! :rotfl:

So I need a little entertainment to keep me busy! I'll arrive 3 days before my DD so I thought since I'm staying on my DVC points ..... why not pool hop? :confused3 Here's my plan: POR first resort and pool I ever stayed at and I love the theme, CBR love the music and the Poly never been at that pool. I'll be at AKV for 10 days so I'll get lot of pool time there ... my favorite pool! After that I'm moving to VWL for 6 night so I'll also have pool time there. :thumbsup2 Am I missing anything .... any other pool that I'm allowed to hop to that I should try????

Look away from the suitcase .... look away from the suitcase ......

Glad you made it back in one piece and the traffic did not get to you.

I wish we could win also.... I don't even have a ticker anymore....:sad2:

Welcome to my life :) The GSP and I don't get along. At all.

Hey all,

I am finally booked at the other lodge. I'm a Wilderness Lodger that is defecting for the first time... So what are the must do's at AKL?

Brian

I thought you could only hop to other DVC pools? or can you hop to anywhere except Storm Along Bay and Bay Lake Towers? I know I've read those rules numerous times, but until I do it I can't commit it to memory.

You also can't hop to the two pools at AKL/V. Years ago you couldn't hop to CSR but that appears to have changed now.

The Boardwalk is beautiful but I never want to stay there because the clown at the pool scares the bejesus out of me. So creepy.

Afternoon Jamborini's and Kidanites!!!! No school today so were just hanging out - teaching the boy how to do laundry............. :scared1: - but, he's gotta learn (his wife will thank me for it) :thumbsup2

...OMG!!! :earseek: Your DS is almost a teenager already??!??!?!

I know, can you believe it!!!!!!!!!

....it's best expressed on the faces of those who step off the monorail at MCO, on their way to the various gates....I know it's perverse, but I sometimes say [to myself] as I see their sad faces,

"....ha-ha-ha-ha-HA-ha....neener, neener, neener....I'm going somewhere that YOU aren't...."

Pretty sick, huh....:confused3 [ :teeth: ]

YUP - yer twisted alright.................. :rolleyes1

.....:scared1:

....not ONE of you is eating a zebra dome...:snooty:

I actually did not eat even one this trip................. :sad1:

....gee...and to think - I would have been STUCK in that dang-glasted baby car seat....

:rotfl2: - Pilferk wouldn't need to win the powerball if you had been stuck in that carseat........... we'd ALL have paid GOOD money to see that!!!!!! :lmao:

** Pilferk - glad you had a good trip, despite the rain early on!!!

So sad isn't it.... BCV should start selling Zebra Domes...

On a side note.......... I DID get my donald duck cupcake cup!!! :)

Brian, there are just so many options in entertainment at AKL. Are you looking for mainly free activities, or are you open to spending? Or a mix of both? will kids be joining you on this trip? I don't want to overload you with all the options.

If you're open to spending, a must do for me would be the Wanyama Safari. It is pricey, but such a wonderful and memorable experience.

I know everyone on here has their favorites to do, you'll get a lot of input.

It's just two adults so it will be a quiet trip. I'm open to spending. Just looking for those unique things that set AKL apart...
