This will be our first time staying at the AKL (no kids), what things should we do around the lodge? We won't have a curfew, so we can stay up as late as we want.

When I plan on staying up late, I am in bed by 9:30.....

I am getting so excited. Eight days from now we will be on the flight to Orlando.

Even more exciting than that (I know hard to top Disney but this one does). Nine weeks from now I will be in Hawaii for a 10 night trip for our 25th Anniversary. Two nights before our NCL cruise between the islands and one night after. I got our first class airfare round trip by cashing in our frequent flier miles and spent $150 in fees and taxes to do it.

At least I have Wine Week tomorrow with friends. Basically all the wine I can drink in about three hours. The ride home on the train is BRUTAL!

I would have to find the bathroom car, and those things are always iffy.....

Hi everyone, I am afraid our trip to F&W and the AKL DIS meet is a no-go for us this year. I will cancel our room ressies tomorrow. We just couldn't handle the airfare cost on such short notice. We had to bite the bullet and admit we just can't do it this year. I have learned my lesson and will be hanging out with you all as much as possible in the future. That way I will know well in advance of a meet.

My computer was not working for three days...silly thing didn't it know how badly I needed it for Disney? (Don't dare call it anything stronger then silly as it may give me the black screen of death.)
DH worked his magic and got it back up this evening. So I have a lot of catching up to do.

Oh yes, I lost all my e-mail messages for the last two weeks when DH got it fixed. Just wonder what all I have missed and lost forever? Guess I will find out when people start telling me off for not responding.

I'm trying to think of this class as an opportunity : the first day it was a real nightmare ...
now , after some hours of lessons , I feel that SOME of the kids want to listen and learn ;
the boy from Bolivia is ... unbelievable , cannot get him to SIT DOWN at his desk - unless I stay aside all the time ...
which I cannot do because I have another boy ( psycologically disturbed) who is unpredictable : today he suddenly stood up and tried to throw his own bag down the window ... Fortunately I was watching !
We also have a couple of girls - NO ONE mentioned their problems - with learning difficulties ...
I'm trying to be strong but smiling - and have already set FEW but severe limitations ...
Well , I did not state that they cannot throw things down onto the street ...

Thanks to God my "other students" - whom I have been teaching to since last year - seem "grown up" and much more responsible , so when I am in that class I can relax some ...
