For ahwile, there was Segways on board that you could try out on the Wide World of Sports deck and on my last cruise, the line was crazy so I skipped it. Any recent cruisers know if they are still onboard and being offered for trial rides?

Thanks! :)

14 days until WDW - Polynesian//Cat 4 Wonder 4night Vaca!!

I'm not sure if this question was asked due to the recent recall of the Segway devices or not but I can tell you they are still in wide use at Walt Disney World.

When I heard that they were going to recall the things, I wondered if they would disappear from WDW. They didn't and I'm begining to wonder if Disney isn't somehow "involved" in these things.

I think the recall was just about adding a certain part so when the battery dies it doesn't stop all of a sudden. So that's my guess that's why their still at WDW. They could fix them, but who knows if Disney is involved at all with the them also.

Hmmm... I remember seeing it in the Navigator from our trip (I think) but I don't remember seeing them anywhere on the Wonder.

They were not on our 10/11 Western Magic cruise. DH had wanted to try them and when we heard about the recall we wondered if they would still be around. Sad to say they were not.

I must be out of it, folks - because you will never guess what I thought when I read this thread......

Happy to see that "IT" wasn't what or whom I thought "it" was!

'nuff said!

Me too, Rae. We must think alike which may not be to our credit!

I just got back from the 11/9 wonder, and they did not have 'IT' on board. I was looking forward to trying it out, but alas I wasn't able to.

As far as the recall... it was only a software upgrade that helped manage 'IT' as the battery died.

ThreeCircles -- the cruise was great - unfortunatley, no good sushi. I did order the tuna at Palo (extremely rare) and it was very good. but no sushi - oh well. Overall I have to say that the cruise was better than even I expected. -- my daughter (5, turns 6 tomorrow) told me on the last night that she wished it was a 5 day cruise... it was so cute :) I have to agree with her, i too wish it was a 5 day (or a 25 day)

Thanks for asking
