Is it possible for me to ride 7-dwarfs mine train without much of a wait (without a FP) right after finishing an 8:15 am ADR at CRT, or is the CRT breakfast experience too long? This will be in early June, on a day the park opens at 9.

The Mine Train fills up immediately. In my past experience, we have spent roughly an hour (give or take) at CRT. My guess is by the time you got there you'd have a wait.

If you are finished with breakfast before 9 and book it straight to SDMT then you should be OK.

Approach it as if you have 8 a.m. reservations and be near the front of the breakfast crowd people. They will seat you in the order in which you arrive at the podium that morning. They don't make you wait until all the 8 a.m. people get there before they seat the 8:15 people.

Ask for the bill as soon as you are seated. Take your time meeting the characters, don't rush yourself, but be ready to head out as soon as you are done.

You might beat the Rope drop crowd.

I would be at the gate no later than 7:30. A little sooner if possible. They will probably let you in around 7:45 or 7:50.

I'd expect lines all day there. Its still new to many visitors and popular with repeat visitors.

Honestly, I don't think you'll make it to 7DMT and beat the opening crowd which arrives around 8:55 am after opening show. CRT takes at least an hour. It's such an unique experience meeting all the princesses and being inside the castle is cool itself. You might find you want to linger and enjoy the experience. Plus, its expensive and would seem like a waste of money to rush to go on a ride. I wouldn't enjoy my myself if that were the case. If you really want to ride 7DMT before opening I would suggest getting a pre-park opening ADR at BOG (if you can). Much better chance of riding 7DMT without wait than CRT.

I have never had a character breakfast take less than 75 minutes. You can make it if you rush, but you're going to have to be out of there by 8:45 at the latest, which is going to mean missing at least a couple of princesses. If I'm paying that much money for mediocre food, I'm not leaving until I see all of the characters.

I have to say I agree with Alesia, I really don't think you'll make it. You'd have to be at 7DMT by 8:45 the LATEST, and that means you'd have to be out of CRT by 8:40. In January we got on line for mine train at 8:37 (after eating at BOG) and they let us start riding at 8:42. The RD crowd was there just before 8:50.

When we ate at CRT in November it took awhile after having our picture taken downstairs with Cinderella until we were brought upstairs to be seated. Since you'll be one of the first in hopefully your wait won't be long if you wait at all, but even 8-8:40 seems way too little time to start and finish your breakfast.

You could FP it for later in case it is a long wait by the time you arrive. I agree with PPs that it will be an hr. or more, and it is a cool experience so you don't want to rush it. In addition to meeting all the princesses, they have a neat wishing ceremony. I would follow Mom2rtk's advice to have the best chance for timing.

They've been opening MK 15 minutes early, so I don't think you will be getting an early ride on 7DMT before the lines. If breakfast was at BOG you would be able to eat and run and you are already in Fantasyland. Any ADR from 8 to 8:55 gets in to BOG at 8, and with preordered food you would be out in time.
