Is it possible to watch World Of Color from the Lamplight lounge patio?

I'm thinking of trying to get an 8:30 reservation for Lamplight Lounge and requesting an outdoor table. Is this easy to do, or does the patio fill up quickly? Is the view from there pretty good?

If so you don't get to see the "show"...you just see some pretty fountains and lights from the side.

WOC was actually originally envisioned to be able to be viewed from all around Paradise Bay as overflow but it they quickly realized that if you are not viewing it from the front most of the visuals and effects are lost which is why you don't really ever see anyone standing around the sides or back when the show is going.

Now it is really cool atmosphere to be at the restaurant while the show is going on but it is in no way an option to "see" the show vs being the actual viewing area.

Side note- if you have multiple days at park or don't care about seeing front view for WoC it's fun to walk around nearly empty Pixar Pier during showtime. Can see different effects and when the water projection screens go down you can see fountains/fire/lasers/etc.

Thanks for the replies! I don't really mind seeing it from the side since I assume you still hear the music etc. I just want to sit down but don't want to pay for the dessert party again lol. Maybe I'll just try finding a standby spot.

Why don't you try watching from the bridge?

No idea if it is possible but I can say confidently the view would be horrible and not the way you wanna watch it.

You would basically be seeing it almost entirely from the side.
I respectfully disagree. I did this one week ago for the first time and I was blown away with the experience. 8pm reservation. Kitchen closes at 8:30pm so get those last food and drink orders in while you still can.

@Pluto468 do this! It will one day be monetized by Disney, mark my words.

We did it, and although we had a sideways view we could see all aspects of the show. Loved it!

That's amazing! Maybe the view depends on your seat/angle. Hopefully we can sit outside.

My reservation is for 8:25. I wanted to make sure I was there to stay long enough to see WOC, but I'll see if I can get an earlier reservation.

I'm sure you're right about them trying to monetize it at some point!

What I would do is just arrive and check in 15 minutes ahead of your reservation (8:10) and know what you want to order so you can get that taken care of right away. I also let the server know I wanted to order donuts before he closed our tab so he did come back and check with me.

We were sitting downstairs in the middle of the section that juts out over the water. Have a great time!

Thanks! I definitely want the donuts! Are they accommodating about letting people sit on the patio?

Those pics look way better than I expected they would! I personally would still not choose to watch it this way but I could see the appeal.

I'm not 100% sure since we were already seated on the patio. But I did see a few empty tables (one group got up and left just a few minutes before the show started), so they might not mind if you found a seat at an empty table. They just asked that we remained seated and didn't walk around during the show since servers were still moving around, delivering checks and clearing tables, etc.
