Is it possible to stay dry on Kali?

You'll probably be fine with a poncho. Years ago we wore ponchos on the ride and some loud mouth man was mocking us (who does that to children?) but getting off his DD was drenched and crying. It really felt good to make a comment to my DD's about being prepared and wasn't it wonderful to be so smart.

No, I am not feeling lucky, haha!
This is what I am afraid of. I am wondering if it is better to just bring a change of clothes? The problem is I have "special" outfits planned for us that day, so we would have to change first into some sort of water gear, then change again after the ride. I read that there are restrooms and lockers nearby so maybe that's not too much of an inconvenience?

There are restrooms and lockers just across from the ride entrance, yes.

When I lived in Orlando and used to visit often, my strategy was to roll up a pair of rain pants and put them in a grocery bag in my purse. Right before I got on Kali (or Splash Mountain, frankly), out came the rain pants and on they went over my shorts. Looked very dorky but it kept my legs totally dry, since I had a good pair with an elastic band that kept the water out at the top. After the ride, I'd wring my shirt out enough to stop it from dripping before taking off the rain pants. I don't mind my top half being wet after a ride (it can be refreshing, even), but I loathe having the butt/crotch of my clothing wet because it takes so long to dry and it's so uncomfortable (we shortened a day at Universal because we didn't bring a change of clothing for after the Popeye ride and nothing was dry hours later).

Using the rain pants made it a lot easier to enjoy the water rides, because I could play "will you get wet" roulette without the stakes being so high. Another way to do the same thing would be to bring swim suit bottoms and change into them and then back out (you'll want towels to get dry down there before putting your clothes back on), and since you are bringing a stroller I'd imagine you have room to carry clothing for this purpose.

As for whether it's worth it...hard to say. I probably wouldn't bother riding Kali if I didn't want to get at least part of my body wet; it's got a bit of a story to it and it's fun enough, but at the end of the day it's mostly a boat ride designed to get you wet. We skipped it in 2015.

We stopped doing KRR years ago. Too much effort to either stay dry or get dry after the ride. :confused3

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHHAHAHAAH....oh these responses are fantastic.......

NO.
You will have zero "control" over your "wetness"...it not a matter of how you dress...its just if you end up on the side that is first going down hill, or if your on the side near the "sprinklers".

There is no way to predict it until a few seconds before it happens......

2-3 seats will get very wet (as the sign at the entrance says)....possible all seats get wet......

as a side note we are in the same boat. We decide to do Kali based on the Temperature that day.....sun exposure ...etc etc.....November can be cold and wet in Orlando. If your from the north or midwest.....might be ok...
