Is it possible for me to ask WDW CP if I can receive an extension in accepting/declining their invitation? I'm still waiting for my DLR and I don't think they will be replying to me anytime soon.

This is pretty much the same situation that I'm in now. Applied to both, and heard from WDW first. I sent both DLR and WDW a email, but haven't heard back yet. If I don't by Monday afternoon I'll try giving a call.
(although, my situation is more dire, I have to reply back to WDW this coming Wed.)

I have heard though, (if you don't hear from DLR in time) that you can accept the WDW offer, eat the $100 fee, wait until DLR reply's...then depending on that outcome call WDW and explain the situation and asked to drop out. The worse that can happen is that you don't get the $100 refunded. I don't know, it's a lot to think about.

If I find anything out, I'll let you know. :goodvibes

Thanks! Please update me :D

Didn't hear back, so I decided to call WDW.

Here's what was passed on to me:
"Generally, extension of the two week deadline to accept the invitation is not done. The two weeks system is the way it is because once someone declines/doesn't respond recruiters may then pass along the invitation to someone who is "Pending". Their maybe special cases, but they are rare, and depends on the situation."
What these special cases were, I wasn't told. I was given the impression that my situation wasn't in that category.

I also called DLR to see when they expected invitations to be sent out and I was told to "Keep waiting for the 4-6 week point from your interview".

I'm not sure when your deadline date is, but if you wait to hear from DLR first before accepting WDW (and don't hear back yet), I would at least give yourself two days before the deadline to fill out the form/fee. That way you have a "buffer" day to make sure all the details are worked out.

aw thanks! :( It would be only 5 weeks since my DLR interview when my accept/decline for WDW is due :(. I should have applied for WDW later haha. But I didn't have the patience to wait. What about you? How long will it be since your DLR interview by the time you need to accept/decline your WDW offer? :]

My WDW deadline is....tomorrow! :rotfl:

As of now it has been 20 days since my DLR interview (which I actually thought was much, MUCH better then my WDW interview buuuuuut we shall see). :goodvibes

I talked with my mom about it and she talked me into accepting WDW. I didn't want to take the chance and lose both. If I hear from DLR and get my top choice, then I may call WDW and explain the situation and ask to drop my the program.

Disney is still Disney, so I'll be more then excited to work for either park.

I hope we hear soon and you don't have to do want I did.

Yeah I would recommend accepting your invitation. You might be out $100 if you decide to go with DLR BUT if you don't get into DLR (which is much harder to get into I have heard) then you will have passed up on the opportunity to go. And I can tell you do not want that! I would say wait as long as you can especially if it will be close to five weeks then but don't push it because you don't want to not be allowed to go then!

Aw Okay! Sounds like good advice! I will wait until the day before my due date and if DLR hasn't replied back yet then I will accept the WDW and still wait for DLR. Lets hope they start accepting people soon!!!!
Keep updating me on your DLR status! :D
