I just booked a studio for me, DW, DD(11) and DS(9) for 3/18-3/26 at Kidani. This will be our first time there after staying at Jambo House. We are really excited since this was last minute and we had decided originally that we couldn't do a Spring Break Disney trip this year. We're not sure how we'll like the sofa bed or standard room view after being spoiled last year overlooking the Arusha Savannah but it's Disney right?

The surprising thing for us was that there were rooms available and I just made ADR's for every day with no problems at all including CRT. I was shocked and wondering if this means Spring Break this year might be less crowded.

Anyway the countdown is on for Zebra Domes! Cheers!

Ok, so here's today's drama, don't I have some every day

I have a friend that just got a management position at a new department store in my city, said she wants to hire me, they need a supervisor, but she warned me the money stinks...So I called her last night, the money they are offering is a disgrace Retail pay here is bad always has been, but for a supervisor? Really? ugh...AND they don't start ANYONE at full time, they start everyone @ part time and once an employee has ''proven themselves'' they get bumped up to FT which is 34-40 hrs...But in the meantime I'd be stuck making crud money for 20-25 hrs The pay is so low that even at FT by the time they take out taxes it'll be about what I make on unemployment...And the 20-25 will be even less than I get on unemployment now. I dont know what to do

But, then I got a call from a temp agency that said they liked my resume and they want to meet w/me tomorrow, so I'm gonna see what they offer and if it's good I'll tell my friend @ the store, thanks but no thanks

This is hard on people who work there full-time, but aren't getting their full time hours. I told the manager to go ahead and cut my hours first, since I have another job (and I still get the discount ).

The temp job sounds like it might be a better deal...I hope it works out for you.

Hey everyone How far is it from Kidani to the Mara Food Court by walking? We took the wrong turn last time (we visited the resort for the first time a few years back) and ended up walking through the parkinglot! Is there a designated, themed area for walking from Kidani to the food court? Might just be easier to take the bus, but figured I'd ask.

Hey everyone How far is it from Kidani to the Mara Food Court by walking? The length of the walk depends upon where your room is in Kidani. There is a path between them that goes along the parking lot/parking garage at Kidani.

Well, if it's the same or less than unemployment, why bother? I work a second job at a children's clothing store at the mall, and I am amazed at how little the management gets paid. Retail pay really stinks - and of course you can't have your weekends free. The store I work at has been cutting back hours like crazy because they weren't as busy as expected over the holidays. Exactly, less than unemployment stinks, but it's a catch-22, because unemployment runs out eventually I would be nervous being in a retail position now, due to all the cut back of hours,like you said...I'll update what happened today on next post.

So the interview @ the agency went well....She said she'll know something either by the end of business today, or by Monday @ the latest...It's a temp to perm position @ an interesting company-I'd be in the billing office of a company that specializes in helping people w/sleeping disorders..It's a great schedule, Mon-Fri 8:30am-4:30pm...The only issue w/that is my father has a ton of Dr appointments, Scott will have to take him to all of those unless something can be worked out....She said she didn't know the exact $ amount per hour, but said it's ''in my range'' so that sounds a lot better than my friends crappy paying retail position But I don't want to burn any bridges, she's been my friend for over 30 years, so I did send her a text saying I didn't come in yet to fill out application because I am waiting to find out about this temp position. Cross your fingers for me

OHHH Yeah, it's been REALLY cold here - at 7 am yesterday it was 20 degrees - and only wanted up to about 43 for the high - that is COOOOLLLLDDD for us down here! Today it was closer to 50, but, still - that is COLD! Getting DS off to school so early with it so cold is horrible - but, I guess all of you know that already - you have to do it too!! I'm just ready for it to be warm again!!!

Got an invite from the owner of the travel agency that I'm contracted with0-wait until you here this-Disney invited her and said she could bring up to 5 agents with her-1 night @All Star Music, then 4 nights on Disney Dream cruising to the Bahamas! But I can't go It's $400 and I don't have it..It's a heck of a deal, but I just dont have it.

Thank you all so much, I really appreciate it!...I'll have to call the office on Monday as she didn't call me back yesterday...She warned me she was alone in the office all day and may not have time to call, so I wasn't shocked when I didn't hear from her...I just can't make myself mental thinking about it all weekend


In the meantime, I have a friend that asked if I'd do the WDW Half Marathon w/her January 2012...Had to tell her no, we were supposed to be skipping WDW in 2012 scared1: I know) becuase we're going to visit a friend in Germany, and airfare is expensive...And we still have no idea when we're getting married and having our honeymoon because we want to be financially sound so we don't feel guilty spending money, we don't want to have a budget honeymoon.
