Geez, So sorry for all that is going on with your aunt, still crossing my fingers, and sending hugs & pixie dust

Welcome Back!!! Wish the news was better - but maybe she'll find the strength to get up and get going again. Sending hugs!! Sorry you had no sunny weather - that stinks!!! AND - WOW - I hate flying to begin with, but, I'd have been in panic mode!!! Glad you are home safe and sound!

Thanks to you both, it was great to see her, but also made it more sad seeing her like that. I just want her to be happy and healthy.

The plane landing was a trip, people were screaming and upset. It kinda slid, then started fishtailing and sliding around. We passed our gate by a lot, it took us 15 minutes to taxi back to our gate after stopping.

I was glad to be stopped at the gate. Funny thing was, we were so late that they did not have a jet way driver, so we spent 20 minutes sitting there waiting for someone to drive the jet way down to us so we could get off the plane.

Well we are back....

First off, my Aunt is in ok spirits. She does not leave her house, she does not go anywhere or do anything but go to the Dr Appointments. She is recovering fine from the surgery, but she is not motivated to do anything. The surgeon told her to move around and walk and build back some energy but no one can get her to do anything.

They removed the baseball size tumor from her colon, and the 8 inches of colon. The spots on her liver and lungs turned out to be Apple sized spots on her liver and lungs. they will not remove them because they are on the front and back of her liver and front side of her lung.

It was confirmed that it was Ovarian Cancer and she did have a complete hysterectomy 26 years ago. The Surgeon said that the cancer seed was planted prior to the hysterectomy and became active cancer about 3 years ago.

2 years ago she was scheduled for a colonoscopy, but the Dr could not get past a "Kink" in her colon. The kink was the cancer. The surgeon said if they had looked better at why they could not perform the colonoscopy she would be 2 years ahead of where she is now.

She will be taking chemotherapy, starting Wednesday, and it will last for 9 weeks. The Nurses and Dr.'s think that she will recover and be healthy. My Uncle and Father are very worried about her because she has lost 30 pounds since the operation and will not get up and do anything. She is 5'7" and down to 95 pounds. She promised me that she would get up and do things but I hate to see everyone so scared and worried.

She is the oldest of my Father's siblings and they all have had cancer now and she is the only girl.

Secondly, there was no warm weather! The high was 60 degrees on one day and the rest was upper 40's and low 50's while we were there, and everyone blamed us for bringing in the cold front. I never saw the sunshine.

Our planes were delayed last night and when we landed at BWI around 1 AM we skidded on the runway from all of the ice and scared a bunch of people on the plane. We got a 1/4 inch of ice which makes for a rough drive home.

But we are here and doing well.

I understand what you mean - it is so hard to see a family member going through this. My sister's MIL is also having chemotherapy right now for ovarian cancer. It's been tough on everyone. I hope your aunt is able to recover fully.

Ok, no new update on the job front...I spoke to the guy @ agency about noon time and he said that he had spoken to the company, but not about a yes or no for me So he said again, if I don't hear from him in 24 hrs to call him back....This is sounding all too familiar

Scott is @ unemployment office w/about 50 people ahead of him For some reason they didn't pay him last week, and according to his account online, they were paying him this week, either But he can't get through on the phone so he's waiting.

I am greatful for all we DO have, really, believe me, but I wish some good luck would get tossed our way.

Hey everyone!!

We finally booked our March trip and it will be at AKL!

After jumping through hoops for my friend to book it with her CM discount, 3 different CMs not being able to locate the reservation with the confirmation number, and me finally getting the email but with just the room only total and with it not including the DDP price even though it says CM 50 + DDP.
I hopefully think everything is set but I'm going to call in a few days to double check before calling DME!!

We're booked in a Standard room. Last time we paid and upgraded to a Savanna view = worth it!

We could have upgraded to Pool but it was another $100 = not worth it IMO so I figured I won't make any room requests and see what we get..maybe nothing since it's a CM room discount but either way, it will be nice to stay somewhere different since I stayed at POP, YC, WL, and CSR last year!

As we started our descent we could see the snow/sleet flying by the windows from the lights in front of the engines.

I grabbed David's hand and held it tight and whispered this makes me a little nervous, he whispered back "me too" and the woman sitting behind us says "It scares the SH*T out of me" we just laughed and tried not to think about it again.

Well, same old baloney here today....The agency still doesn't have an answer..The company is now trying to decided whether to hire someone temp or perm, instead of temp TO perm...And part of the hold up is the HR person needs to get a final decision from the CEO and the problem is the 2 of them finding the time to sit down and talk

Scott still knows nothing about why he hasn't been paid in 2 weeks...He was there for hours yesterday and finally had to leave, the weather was getting bad, so he wanted to pick the kids up from school.
Today he went back, waited 2 hrs only for them to tell him, he needs to call somewhere else He's upset to say the least and so am I.

On a positive note, did anyone watch the christening of the Disney Dream this morning? It was lovely

kimmar ~ Finally staying at Animal Kingdom Lodge in May. I am aprehensive since we could only get a 2 bedroom Standard View. We have never even stepped foot in the lobby of the Animal Kingdom Lodge or Kidani Village. Even though we have been very intrigued by the wonderful photos etc. We just never took time out of our vacation to visit the resort.

I would think that if you requested the norther crescent you should get something close. Far closer than if you were on the southern crescent which is closer to Jambo.

...the Jambo pool is on the OPPOSITE side of Jambo House, so you wouldn't be near it even if you requested it...
