We had fun, but boy was it HOTTTTTTTTTTT - did I say it was HOT!!! LOL

The crowds weren't too bad - which was a nice surprise!!! Overall - it was a good trip - now, were in full on Dec. countdown mode!!! Yee Ha

AND - this week is crazy - SOOOOO much to do, DS starts school next Wed!!!

Again, it was fun, but I'm glad to be home!

Hope everyone is doing fine on this beautiful morning.

I wanted to comment on food at the bar in AKL. It was late night when I went but they do offer a few items. I had a cheese and fruit plate with dates and other fruits and a variety of cheeses and crackers. It was really good. I wish I could remember what else was on the menu but when I go, I know I will be hitting the bar, I will take a photo of the menu and post it.

Jambo everyone! Do you all remember me? It has been quite a long time since I have been on the DIS. My DH's mom got very ill back in early June and you all were so wonderful about expressing you best wishes and prayers. Thank you so very much.

However, she did pass away the end of June. The months of June, July and even the first part of August has been a blur. I think things have settled down now. We are keeping a very close eye on MDH's dad since mom's death. He is not well and has COPD, but he is doing well emotionally and tries to do all he can without asking for help. We will continue to see him every day and make sure he is eating and as heathy as he can be. I try to make him his favorite meals a couple times a week, however he does like to cook for himself. He is a BIG sweet eater for breakfast and is enjoying snacks which mom never allowed.

I went through the same thing last year with my DMIL and it was very quick as well. Let me know if you need anything! And we did the same thing...we had our trip planned and while it was bittersweet for us, we really needed to get away after everything that had happened.

We just got back from our first AKL trip, and we were so pleased with pool view. We were in 4466 on the Zebra Trail. Amazing view. Great hotel. I want to go back!

Thank you Elin. Don is doing a great job of putting this together for us. He is SOOOOOO wonderful.

Brandi, thank you for the wonderful pictures of AKL. ahhhhh I am feeling the drums and smelling the spices of Boma.

I have spent the entire day doing Disney WDW planning. A pretty great way to spend the day if I have to say so myself! Even had a nice visit with Juanita at AKL IPO (she managed to get a ressie I thought was impossible) WOO HOO

Johnsonet & Johnsmom - I sent you both PM's, but they are not showing in my PM file. Hope you both got them???
