is it near impossible to get an adr at Chef Mickey's or Ohana?

Call to make them, their website hasn't been acting right lately. Shouldn't be a problem to get in at the 180 day mark.

Just booked a trip for late may and ohana for dinner had quite a few open times. Something will def open up

Because of a change in our original plans, we booked our ADRs within 5 months (for early October) and easily got a table for 10 at Chef Mickeys for dinner.

I called at 180 days and was able to get breakfast at Chef Mickey's. It wasn't my first choice of time, but only 30 mins later then what I had wanted.

Hmm..I'd call and see. I was able to get Chef Mickey's breakfast easily and within 15 minutes of the time I originally wanted when I booked on the 180 day mark. Maybe it's because we were trying for breakfast instead of dinner?

I had a hard time with T-Rex though. I couldn't get dinner, and had to switch to lunch on a different day.

I tried to get Ohanas on our first day too...no luck...I logged in and checked the time by 6:04 am...said they only had a 9:15pm available. I called disney and got through at 7am...by 7:03 I'm connected and I'm told they only have a 9:15. I can't eat that late especially with going to Crystal Palace the next morning at 8:20am.

Ohanas was the only one we couldn't get. One of the PP is right though...I booked Crystal Palace online at 8:50, called and got it changed to 8:20. I booked Garden Grill online at 5:15 and got a 5:55 (preferred later), I booked Fantasmic Lunch Package at 1:45 online and got 12:45 (preferred earlier).

Online doesn't always give the exact time you want.

I did book the time I wanted for Chef Mickeys though (5th night). That seemed easier because I wanted something around 6 or 7 pm and they had a 6:05, 6:45 and 7:15 available...I picked 6:45.

I just called to see if I could get one for chef mickey's.... and nothing on any of the days we are going. It might be because we have a group of 8. I will try closer to the time... maybe someone will open up! Thanks! RIght now we are going to crystal palace instead... my kids are not big fans of pooh but it sounds like people like crystal palace for dinner... we have only been for breakfast.

Call. I was on Disney's site today trying to make an ADR, and it was telling me there was nothing available at Ohana, Captain's Grille, the Wave, or Trail's End, and the latter three never book that fast, so I'm thinking it's a glitch in the system.

we had no problems getting both Chef Mickey's and O'hana.....and that was a few weeks ago for beginning of September, so maybe things have really filled up, or something is wrong with the site - definitely call, can't hurt.

Not to hijack the thread, but have you tried calling T-Rex directly. They always have more availability then they release to Disney's reservation system. The number is 407-828-8739.

I managed to snag an Ohana dinner for our arrival date about 2hours after my 180+ window opened up, not my pick of times but it was doable (645) so I snagged it and will keep checking to see about a time change but if not it will work, I checked later that morning and got no options for that day

How big is your group? I just looked at CRT for late Sept and see multiple openings for a group of 4 but none for a group of 8

I had the same problem with 'Ohana. I just called and was able to get Sept 29th (my last day) at 5:05 for 2 people. I am going solo and the CM couldn't find anything for 1 so I booked it anyways hoping that I am not going to have to pay $10 for my non existent 2nd person. She said for my week Sept 24-29 there is nothing available. 'Ohana is crazy popular.

Keep checking, hopefully something will come up.

That happened to us last year but not at the 180 day mark. That sounds odd...have u tried for a day later in ur week? I'd call just to be sure...if you still have no luck, keep trying online. Like i said, last year, we couldn't get O'hanas at first so I kept checking back daily at all different times of the day for about a week and something opened up. Good luck!

I booked O'hana on line for 9/30/12/ at 8:15pm ten minutes off of my requested time! There were several times available.

we have a group of 8. I was surprised that we got the adr for crt breakfast... but I still can't get anything at chef mickey's or o"hana...guess i will have to wait till the next trip =(

Don't give up and just keep trying, people will cancel so you are bound to get something. There have been many times where we couldn't get what we wanted at our 180 day mark, but got them later on. Either keep calling or go online to check...as I always tell people, you need to stalk Disney dining . Good luck on getting what you want.
