We are at All Stars Movies and the place is over run with teenagers. They have "Queens by Auckland" bags and coats, but are clearly from South America... They're a team of some kind... They are loud and their adults are worse. *sigh* Anyone know what's up? Am I right? Is it the dreaded cheerleaders?

I know it's not feasible, but I kinda wish resorts had to post advisories when big groups like this were staying.

I don't know but there were hoards of teenaged girls when we were there two weeks ago. Definitely cheerleaders then. And they were obnoxious.

Seems like cheerleading/dance teams are now appearing year-round. There were a lot of International cheer squads filling the parks & bus stops when were there 3 weeks ago.

I think I read somewhere that the cheerleaders are there in full force. Each week a load of them gets bused out and a load gets bused in. Good luck op, we had a trip pretty much ruined by them in the past, I feel your pain.

Actually, the cheerleaders are not that bad. Their parents are far worse. OP...you are experiencing the South American tour groups....they are pretty bad. Loud...obnoxious....rude. They all speak English but pretend that they don't. Those kids are from wealthy families and they are very well educated.

Checking the schedule online, it does seem, though, that Cheer squads are going to be commonplace all year. Just look at the competitions at WWOS for 2015, and this is just through May!

National College Cheer & Dance (UDA/UCA) 1/16 - 1/18
National Dance Team Champs (UDA) 1/31 - 2/1
National High School Cheer Champ (UCA) 2/7 - 2/8
Twirl Mania International Champ 2/13 - 2/15
Contest of Champions National Champ 2/27 - 3/1
International All-Star Champ (UCA) 3/14 - 3/15
AmeriCheer / AmeriDance International 3/21 - 3/22
Cheerleading & Dance World Champ 4/24 - 4/27
The Summit All Star Champ 5/1 - 5/3

Does anyone know when the groups typically visit the parks- before or after the competitions?

Thanks!

I was there 2/5 - 2/10, while there were tons of cheerleaders they were very well behaved. It was the huge South American tour groups that were somewhat disruptive. Their "adult" chaperones were the worst. I just tried to steer clear, which seemed to work out for us.
Though....we were at Animal Kingdom one afternoon and it was pouring outside. The bus line for Caribbean Beach had about 30+ cheerleaders in line then a couple of families with small children came along to also get on the bus and I felt bad for them because I couldn't see them fitting on the bus. I never got to see how it all worked out as our bus arrived at the same time.

I know there will be some cheer teams there next weekend but hopefully not the south Americans ones. And I am really hoping none if them will be at CSR.

We had the "happy cheerleaders" as we called them (they might have been dancers who knows) at AS Music the last weekend in January. They were practicing all over the parking lot (silly me I was trying to park my car in the lot). They were loud and happy but not tragically awful :-)

Tour groups of 15 year old girls for their quinceanera. Right up there with the other tour groups as far as level of annoyance caused to others and level of entitlement they feel.

OMG I never heard of the 15's! I never want to be at a resort ever again with large tour groups.

My daughter was there with her pom squad (dance) from the Wednesday before President's Day to the Monday of. There were a number of poms teams from the Midwest there for the 5 day span. They got to march in the MSEP and perform at both Epcot and HS on the Beauty and the Beast stage.

I don't think annoying & entitled are adjectives strictly reserved for tour groups. I've seen plenty of 2, 3, 4-member families filling those shoes, just as I've seen countless tour groups of 30-40 behaving just fine.

How dare the 15-year olds act like 15-year olds?
