Is it 5:00 pm yet?
Friday afternoon at the office and all the administrative support staff has stopped working and are all just cruising the Internet, counting down the minutes towards 5:00 pm. Everyone is really sick of each other here at the office and rarely do people talk to their coworkers unless they have to for a work reason.
The water cooler and the break room is no longer the primary place of communication in our office nowdays. Most people are on Internet chat boards, message boards or instant messaging and talking to someone across town or across the world, not in the next cubicle over! I wonder if the offices of 10 years ago were a bit more social than today? No Internet back then and people HAD to talk to each other face to face to help break the boredom of 4:41 PM on a Friday!
Does that sound like your world in the place you work on a late Friday afternoon?
