Oh, I can never remember - is the shorter/quicket queu line to the right or left?????

Thanks!

The Unofficial Guide, I think, did some testing on this and found no consistent difference. Get in the shorter or faster-moving line.

probably depends on the ride.

The CM @ pirates last week told us the quicker line was the left hand side.

I read that if there are 2 lines open and you can't see them, to take the left one

In my experience, there is rarely any significant difference.

The theory was that since most people are right-handed, most people go to the right when offered equal choices. Therefore, going left would make lines shorter; I have seen this on occasion, but not much of late.

I have also tried the clockwise touring of World Showcase, and I see little difference there, as well.

are you talking about park entry? if so, I've had luck with both left and right - whatever is a little off the beaten path. left at epcot. right at mk an ak.

Any line that we are in is the longest. So if you see us, go into the OTHER line. You will save yourself some time....LOL

The idea is not specific to DW it is human nature, if there is more than one line people gravitate to the line on the right, unless they happen to be left handed.
So GENERALLY speaking left side lines are shorter.

funny, i must always be in the same line then.... why does the other line always seem to move faster???

There usually is very little difference as the CMs do seem to guide you. However I have heard many say at rides like PotC to go left since most people always seem to head for the right.

i remember reading that the left queue on potc is quicker - maybe on the secrets thread..... they only had one line open when we were there last though

I think the left side or straight ahead side on TOT right before you board is quicker...or shorter but not sure

I'm not too sure about all the rides/shows, but I know that the past 3 trips, we always take the right line on Pirates and have never waited. Always a walk on while we watch the people across the way on the other side waiting and waiting.

On our visit last week, we noticed significant differences in only two queues - PotC and iasw. In PotC, we went to the left and boarded a few boats ahead of the people originally in front of us, who went right. On iasw, however, we went left and ended up watching the people originally in front of us (who went right) enjoy their cruise much quicker than we did.

I imagine, however, that it has something to do with the handicap line as well, so if you have a few guests with special needs boarding in the parties in front of you, it could impact your wait time and screw with any system you might develop.

Except for the one about the disneyfanfamily always being in the slowest line. That one is always true.;)

We usually go left. We also found out that the two lines at POTC are not the same. The left is shorter, so if you walk into the queue and the lines appear even, go to the left. Pick out a person in the right line and I will bet that you will beat them onto the ride.
