Is friday a good idea?

Hi,
I'm an AP holder and I'm thinking about going to D-Land February 29th. I've never gone on a Friday before...is it packed? Since I have a pass I don't really want to go if there are lines. Would you recommend I go?

It shouldn't be crowded at all. There aren't any holidays this Friday, so I would not think the park will be crowded at all. But I don't get when you said:

Doesn't that mean you can go whenever you want, so lines shouldn't be a huge issue. If something has a long line, skip it and ride it on another visit.

In my opinion Fridays are more busy than a Tues, Wed or Thurs, but not crazy. Since you have an AP should not be an issue.

Friday afternoons are always busy. I have been to DLR resort during numerous non-busy periods, and we always left by noon or 1 on Fridays. Locals seem to increase the park numbers significantly by Friday afternoon.

Hit non-FP rides in the morning and gather FP's to use later in the afternoon.
