Is four days too short?

I don't think so but that's the length of our average family trips. My husband doesn't like to be gone from work for long.

When I go solo I can usually squeeze in 5 days. I've been tempted to try to go for a full week solo but I don't know what I'd do if I had downtime. :rotfl:

We've had some wonderful 4 day trips. The weather at that time of year is beautiful, so spending a full day in the parks is not a problem. We're going for four full days the week after next and plan to pack in all four parks and all of our favorite attractions. We're not going to spend evenings on signature dining as we do on our longer trips so that we'll be able to fit in the evening fireworks and parades. Go for it and have a great time!

Way more to do at MK. Epcot is good for a half day.

Really? We're just the opposite. Epcot is a full day, probably more, park. We can do MK in a day, AK in a half day, MGM in a half day, and Epcot in a day or more.

We are going down for 4 days, flying in day one, two days at the park, flying home day four. Epcot will be the hardest one to limit time in for us.

I'm doing Epcot for two days and hoping that's enough time to do what I like to do there. AK is a park if I get there by rope drop, I am ready to leave by lunch time and I normally head to Hollywood Studios for the remainder of the day and normally get in what I want to see/do there as well.

Well, we never go for more than three days at a time, so a four-day trip sounds positively luxurious to me.

The key to short trips is to go in knowing that there's no way you can do everything. Don't even try. For our trip next week, we're planning on HS and Epcot. That's it -- no MK. We decide on our "must do" items at the parks we've chosen & do those first thing. Then we fill in our remaining time as things happen...jumping on rides with short lines, relaxing at the resort, whatever.

It also helps that we'll be back again in a few months for another short trip -- and we'll dedicate that one to MK and AK. ;)

As long as your expectations are in line, you'll have a great time no matter how short the trip. :thumbsup2

Go for four days and as others have suggested plan what you really want to do and enjoy it!

We done two 4 day trips and enjoyed both very much! Our longer trips are nice also but to be honest, DH really hates spending the $$$ and doesn't enjoy the parks that much (I could stay two weeks and be in heaven!).

We just got back from a 5 night trip to WDW. We only spent 4 days in the parks bc we had the 4 day military park hopper tickets. I was worried it wouldn't be enough time since our last trip was a full week but we thought 5 nights was perfect! The park hoppers helped us a lot and we did everything we wanted numerous times.

Like others have said, 4 days is better than 0 days.

It also depends on your expectations. Having gone many times in the past, I didn't mind going for 3 days this past September to get my "Disney fix" because I had realistic expectations - not everything was going to get done, which is kind of nice because it makes you relax and ease up on planning every minute of your trip.

I think four days is "good" but not "enough". I hardly felt 8 was enough! We are going for a 4 night, 5 day trip in just a few days though! Super excited!

Same.

Honestly love AK, but I always forget until I'm there that there isn't as much to do there. Considering we're going in Jan and expecting crowds to be light, I anticipate the same as you... Going and being done by lunch, doing MGM and being done by 5, and then heading off to Epcot.
