Is four days too short?

We're going in March, but can only stay 5 nights/4 park days. I'm worried I won't get my Disney fix. We last went Christmas 09, but did 2 days Seaworld, 1 Kennedy Space Center, 4 days at Disney. We skipped DHS and will skip AK this time. This will be the shortest trip ever, and I hope I don't come home feeling jipped. I'm not sure if DD14 can miss more days of school and this is the only week we can go other than summer( we are not good in the heat) Has anyone gone for just a few days ( and I don't mean you lucky people who go several times a year)?

If its Worth it to you to go for that period then sure. You just can't expect to do everything. Best way to view it is to have your favorite things picked out and get them done and view everything else you di as icing on the cake. Plan as much as possible and use all your resources to make the most of your time.

Will you get your Disney fix? Do any of us ever- hence the constant disboards reading/ trip planning- but four days is better than 0 right?

I hope you have a great trip now go start researching so youre well prepare to squeeze every magical moment out of those 4 days

Four days is better than NONE ! ;)

Seriously though .. I'd take four days in Disney. I'm pretty good at navigating and weeding out the stuff I don't really need to do.

It also depends on how far away you are from Orlando and if you're driving or flying. I am in Texas and we are 18 hours away. I might consider only going for 4 days if I am flying (as others have said, 4 days is better than none), but would not consider it at all if I had to drive there. Minimum time I would stay if I was driving would be a week. But everyone is different. Hope you have a great trip!

We're going in March, and only planning four Disney park days... I'd rather go an intense four days and go home ;) Last trip, we did 8 days, 10 nights. One break day, a Sea World Day, and 6 Disney Days. After about day 5, we were done - we were tired of eating in restaurants, tired of the oppressive heat, and just done.

So, We're driving (19 hours) down, we'll spend one half day at Gatorland, and Four Disney Days (skipping Epcot this time, last time we skipped AK). It works for us :thumbsup2 Have a great trip!

4 days is alright, not terrible. To get everything in you'll need to waste no time. Are you going to all the parks? If so just get a 1 day hopper and do Animal Kingdom/Epcot same day which is easy and not stressful.

We are driving, it's a 2.5 hour flight.
We are not getting park hoppers and skipping AK this time. 1 day DHS, not sure if we will spend a 2nd day at epcot or mk. Can't decide which one so may leave that for the last day.

Usually by the end of 4 days I've pretty much had my fill of DL. When we go to WDW its usually all the things around there.....WDW, KSC, SW, etc etc so we are not in just one place for the entire time.

Personally, I think 4-5 days is the perfect length for a trip. I get tired of eating out all the time after that long; the family's energy level and patience never get taxed; never have that feeling of "ugh, I'd just as soon be home". We're doing 5 park days in April, and I honestly don't think I'd do more even if the kids' school schedule allowed.

Way more to do at MK. Epcot is good for a half day.

We got back a week ago from 3 days at WDW-we upgraded to park hoppers so we could do all 4 parks. We got our Disney fix but at a dizzying pace. We took advantage of EMH in the mornings and did Mickeys Very Merry Christmas Party one night so less crowds. We are going to Disneyland next summer and I want at least 3 days.

Well, I'm probably not going to tell you what you want to hear, but you did ask!:rotfl:

I went for 4 nights this past June, way too short! I did get on all the main rides thanks to rope drop, but it was hot, and I feel like it went sooo fast and when I got home I immediately wanted to go back!
I mean I had a great time, but it was way too short for me and I did not get to just enjoy things the way I like to.

Granted, I hadn't been since 2000 and won't be back until late 2012 the earliest, so that did play a part in my feelings.:)

We use military tickets, which are 4 park day tickets, so that's what we're used to. Our last trip we did add in 2 days at the water parks, but other than that, we have always gone for 4 park days. We usually drive so have one day travel, 4 park days followed by one day travel home. We are pretty commando and typically are rope drop straight through to fireworks park goers. We always leave with a things on our list that we didn't do, as usual, but so many that we did get to do. We've never felt short changed on our trips.

One day I'd like to try the non commando, stay longer, and lounge more version of a WDW vacation, but somehow that just doesn't seem to fit with our style. I think we'd still hit the ground running and end up worn out and burned out.

No not at all, this is the perfect amount of days at Disney -- one day at each park is suffice for me -- my family prefers a week. :goodvibes

I usually do 5 full park days with maybe another evening at the start and do all four parks.

It is a bit short. But with good planning you'll be OK. You've already decided to skip one park - that's good. And, you don't have any small children with you, so you can probably go strong all day and night? Just plan to come home exhausted!

Way more to do at MK. Epcot is good for a half day.

Epcot's always been a 2 day (or more!) park for us, even when the kids were small. MK is more like a day and a half. You ride Pooh once, you're done. But you can play in the Innoventions pavilions for hours.

We went a few years ago (DH & my older kids 1st trip) and we stayed 5dys,
4nts. We did 1 park per day, seeing all 4 parks. This was early Aug. We were able to do everything we wanted, but the trip did feel a bit rushed.

We are going for 3nts (2 park days) in Oct but are strictly gonig for MNSSHP, F&W.

A week to 10 days is our idea of getting away from it all and just enjoying ourselves at our Happy Place. But, if all I could have was 4 days or 'zip', I'd do it in a heartbeat. But, March?? Ouch. Crowd levels will be up there, making it a bit tougher to move around, get on rides, etc, etc. Plan well, and make rope drop. yup...4 days at Disney is better than 'no' days at Disney.
