Is Dec 14th-19th a busy time?
I'd really like to just snack around the world with DH and try the stand-by line for CP.
I've heard the early show has better chances of getting in. Is it really still light out at 5pm? What are the chances of getting in line 1/2 hr before it starts?

Would also love to hear from other Disers on this delemma.

I will be attending with 6 other people and $45.00 for a Tier II seat ($320.00) is a lot of money for 1 meal.

Don't know if this will help, but...I've been trying to decide whether to our CP pkg. for Fri, 12/10. Most folks recommend keeping the res for a weekend performance. General feeling is that standby line for this time of year, mid-week, will be about one hour. The closer to Christmas, the longer the wait, with no guarantee of seats. I don't know if 30 mins. would be enough time. For two people, I'd make a level 1 seating for a day when i'm planning to spend the majority of my day at AK, which closes early, and hop over to Epcot for CP. If you want to eat your way around the world, do that on a strictly Epcot day, without the CP. For 6 people, I'd stand in line...it's just too much $$$. You can always watch the performance (well, at least hear it) from the sidewalk along the rear of the theatre if you can't get a seat. Not a primo solution, but better than nothing. FYI, I'm keeping our pkg. Travelling with MIL, and DH who isn't thrilled about another WDW trip; trying to minimize the whine factor.

If you go midweek (Tues, Wed, Thurs), you may be able to get in by getting in line 30 to 45 min ahead.

OK, I'll try an early show on a weeknight, but alas it's also an EE day in Epcot. Does that truly make a difference in attendance?

Hey Leslie.

I will be doing a non package CP, early showing, with my DD on the 2nd, though not nearly as crowded then I am sure. Sure enjoyed the CP with you and other DIS'ers a few years back. ::yes::
