Is Coronavirus affecting your travel plans?

It's not just Disney. Look at the NCAA they are going on with the tournaments for March Madness. In the 68 games under their control every game will be played with full crowds. MLB is full steam ahead unless stopped by the cities that control the stadiums. It's all about the money and you don't matter. Harsh words but put your big boy pants on, it's only going to get a lot worse. Down down 1200 points and stimulus package proposed by the White House is stalled in the House. House democrats don't like the payroll tax cut. This virus is real and sting measures must be taken for the health of everyone .

The San Jose Sharks are abiding by the requested public gathering ordinance. Some high school and college sports teams have also cancelled games. So, it's not all sports teams.

I don't want to bring politics into this. But, I do have to comment from a scientific/medical background that any tax breaks or bailout packages are not going to stop the virus. This isn't like the mortgage crisis from a decade ago.

College basketball games in Cleveland will be played without an audience. Each player will be allowed no more than 4 family members and the media will still be there but nothing more.

The mid American conference is a mid level league tournament that has never been well attended and I know that because I've gone to it. The tournament really means something when you get dpwn to the final 8

Same arena is hosting 1st and 2nd round games next week - it's very possible that the same restrictions might be in place then as well.

Well, it looks like things are in motion out here in CA.

San Francisco has officially banned any gathering of over 1,000 people. Not a recommendation or request any more.
The Warriors have decided to play home games without an audience. I’m sure this will set a precedent for the rest of pro sports in hard hit areas.

I'm almost getting a bit annoyed with Disney at this point. It seems almost a given that they're going to be forced to close down (and I'm in shock that it has come to this). The sooner they make the decision, the fewer people will be affected and the easier it will be to make other plans.

Unfortunately you don't matter. No real direction and vague statements but not just Disney, it's just about all of them.

I feel the same way about the cruise lines. If they are going to cancel I wish they would just do it already. Being in limbo is so frustrating.

I cancelled a trip to and a cruise out of Rome this October. Our WDW plans begin in May, and I think we will be ok.

The federal government will not make them close. So called experts there continue to claim there is nothing to worry about. Not my words but his

Just emailed our TA to cancel everything.

And let me tell you, guys, while this is not the virus that will end humankind, it is most definitely NOT the flu. And don't fool yourselves, it IS widespread in the US and WILL impact its economy and daily life, as well as kill thousands.

See you in a while, when we can reschedule 😊

I am not one to walk around with a mask or anything like that but we want to go on our first trip to LA in June and are hesitating to book. Not scared of LA in particular, just being in an airport, plane and even crowded attractions.

Things could be way better by then or they could get worse.

5 years ago DS16 was sick for a year with an extremely rare illness. His doctor said he guarantees we won’t find another person like him for the rest of our lives. You just never know.

Anyone else hesitating to travel?
Nope. A little concerned, but still planning to take my spring break trip next week.

When were you supposed to go? Ours is April 19. There would have to be a pretty big turnaround at this point. Not making the final decision until the last possible minute.

And the actual experts say there is cause for worry. This is going to get worse. It is going to overwhelm hospitals and the healthcare system. Be prepared to modify your behavior.
But the experts can only offer advice. They are not in charge
