Is Captain EO or Ellen's Energy Adventure worth seeing once?

Both are worth seeing so that you don't have to wonder if they are worth seeing :thumbsup2. Personally, EO was horrible. Ellen's is ok.

I like to refer to Captain EO as 20min of my life I will never get back... it was AWFUL.

Haven't seen EO - have no interest in it. Now, if we could have a Duran Duran movie - I would be there!

Ellen - we like it. Definitely worth trying once. It is dark, quiet and long enough to get a nice break from the heat or a passing shower. We like the dinosaur part. I can live without the Ellen/Jeopardy thing - seen that part enough. And yes, as above posters have stated, I have taken a little nap on the ride before. Nice place to rest.

We like them both, think they are enjoyable and would recommend seeing them at least once!

:goodvibes

I'm surprised at the hate toward EO. It is 80s cheese at its finest. Of course, it was state of the art when it was made. A total time machine for people like me who grew up in the 80s. I will miss it a second time when it leaves soon.

Ellen is entertaining, but a big suck of time. If you have an hour to spare, do it. But it's nothing special.

I enjoy Ellen and the humor it brings. A little out of date (Yeah that Fracking is great isn't it...) but I think it's a good simple overview of the different types of energy.

EO is not the greatest, but I like to see some of those 80's outfits/hair and Angelica Huston being a total ham.

So when we go each on the kids gets their own "must do" attraction. No matter how long the line is we go. Apparently, my oldest son has good memories of Ellen's energy adventure, because it is his favorite ride in EPCOT. (He is 19 now) We see it every time we go. The whole ride takes almost an hour, so if you are pressed for time, it does not work well. But I really like it. It is funny and light and it is a good way to get out of the heat and rest for a little while.

As a child of the 80's, who missed it the first time around, I enjoyed seeing captain EO once if once for the nostalgia factor. Believe it or not, Ellen's Energy Adventure is better than what preceded it.

Add me to the "try everything once" group.

Go and see Eo just so you can see why it's so bad it's funny. BDTD, now I don't ever have to do it again.

We always see Ellens Energy Adventure- it's a wonderful way to get out of the heat and rest for an hour. Plus it's a gentle, informative and funny attraction.

I'm not a MJ fan, I have no desire to see Captain EO. Ellen is funny but the best thing about that ride is the cool air and the off time to rest.

I happen to like EO, but I'm the only one in my family who does. We enjoyed Ellen a few years ago, but for some reason haven't made time to go back. Maybe this year.

You won't know if you like them or not until you try them, and if the park feels a little "been there done that" why not give one or both a try?

During our last trip we went to both Captain EO and Ellen's Energy Adventure. I've always enjoyed Ellen, and was surprised how much I enjoyed EO. It's definitely not something I'd have to ever see again, but it is kinda neat :)

On my last excursion in Epcot, I did both. Ellen was a time killer for our Test Track fastpasses to kick in. It was okay, at least the parts that I was awake for were, and it was nice to be out of the rain that early morning.
EO I actually semi-enjoyed. I love any and all music, so when I heard that they were bringing MJ back I had to go see the show. It was a cheesy "I'll do anything once" ride.
Go on both if you have time.
Or if you're like me and you have a void in your heart if you don't at least try to do everything...

Ellen is fine for a nap (Epcot's answer to the Hall of Presidents). Eo, on the other hand, is horrible. If they wanted to bring back something nostalgic, they should've brought back the original 3D movie located at JIA, Magic Journeys. Avoid Eo at all costs. You'll be glad you did...

I thought EO was just awful when I first saw it ( at Disneyland) and the technology was so new. I couldn't understand why they ever brought it back. My dh and kids wanted to see it and I warned them honey I shrunk the audience was better. My dh had never ever said I should have listened to you until that day... Well second thought maybe eo has it pluses

When Captain EO came out it was during a great time and a new 3D experience that we never had. If you know anything at all about Michael Jackson, you should at least see it. A good sppof to Thriller and Star Wars. Ellen is interesting to older children some younger ones may get scared with the Dino's. But I really enjoy the little tid bits of knowledge. Wish they would reopen the other buildings with something updated.

Everytime we have gone to the parks in the last 2 years we have had a broken Ellen ride. Frustrated, haha!

We like Ellen (although it is pretty dated, especially the dinos), but I absolutely will not do Captain Eo. I saw it several times at Disneyland in the 90s, and that was way more than enough for this lifetime as well as any future lifetimes I may experience.
