Is Askersus Gross? Should we cancel Prin Storybook Dinner?

LiteBrite, I hope my DD turns out to be HALF as beautiful as your DD.

:rotfl2: I crack myself up.

No, seriously, I think your computer cut off part of your photo.
No, it wasn't your computer - that was one she took herself, and she did it that way on purpose (she's the artsy type ;) ). I chose that one because it best showed how much she looks like your beautiful little daughter.

Here's another that shows more of her face:

What I can tell, though, does kind of resemble my DD. She actually looks a LOT my sister. How weird is that? We may be related down the line somewhere, LiteBrite!

Sorry for the joke, I just couldn't resist. She is very beautiful. :goodvibes
Well, hey cous! :grouphug: And thank you, I think she's beautiful too.

Did someone say "lefse"? This was always a holiday treat in my family when I was growing up. I haven't been brave enough to make it myself yet. We'll be eating at Askerhus a few days before Christmas...now I'm dreaming of lefse. :cloud9:

Does anyone know if they sell lefse some place in Norway, like a bakery, that I could take with me? That would really make my Christmas!

I was at Epcot on 11/17 and was not planning to do Akershus because I did not make advance ADRs and I figured with the princesses it would be swamped. Anyway, my kids love the food so we tried a walk up. We were seated immediately and the place was half empty (this was early dinner-around 5pm). The food on the coldboard was great and we ate so much, I did not have any room for the entree.

The princesses walking around we OK (my 7 yr old loved that) but I really go there for the food.

They also now have this thing whre they take a picture with Ariel and you can buy it if you want (I think it was over $30). I got one for my little one; my older one refused to even pose with thye princesses.

We just went there two weeks ago. For the kids they have the usual selections that every other Disney restaurant has. I think the buffet salad bar was better than the main dish selections. It all really depends on your taste. If nothing else you can get sandwich meat and bread at the salad buffet. I have always liked the meatballs, which is the selection I chose, but it came with mashed rutabaga. Well, all I ate was the meatballs.

I've always loved the rice cream, lefse and sandwiches, which is why the Bakeri, is one of our favorites for lunch. It is a "fresher" lunch than most "counter" service, being fresh sandwiches, but as far as Akershus goes, I don't think that's any fresher than most Disney "table service" restaurants.

I would say that you will probably find something to eat, and if you like the sound of many of the things mentioned, then you would probably enjoy it. The atmosphere is very cute.

Go to the Bakeri in Norway. Yummy lefse. The lefse at the buffet is kind of in "pieces", at the Bakeri, you will find the nice rounds.
