Is anyone else having trouble getting their gift card from the DVC promotion?

I'm wondering if anyone else is having a problem getting the gift card they were promised when they took the Disney Vacation Club phone tour?

I took it back in November and I still haven't received the gift card. I called once in January and was told it would be sent right out. Nope. Then I called again the beginning of February and was told they had run out and were expecting a shipment. I was told to call back in two weeks if I hadn't received it.

I called back this morning and the guy who I spoke to, who was definitely not in a Disney Happy mood, pretty much told me they were out and he didn't know when they would be in.

I saw lots of posts on the boards from those of you who got them quickly. Is anyone still waiting or am I an isolated incident?

Did you check to make sure they had your address correct? Did you get the packet of DVC information from the person you talked to? His/her card should be in the back of the book....I'd call him/her directly to talk about the problem. It does seem weird that you wouldn't have yours yet. Mine took 34 days from the call in early January.

My cousin and I both completed the DVC promotion in December (about two weeks appart) and received our cards last week (on the same day). I get the idea that they send them out in large batches. It still seems like you should have gotten yours before we got ours, since you did it in November.

I had a problem with mine. I did the tour and most people were saying they got the info packet within a few days. I never got it and called back a couple of weeks later. The CM forwarded an email to my tour guide and I got the info packet within a couple of days. I asked the CM if I was going to have a problem getting the card since I had to call back about the packet, and she said no, its been ordered. I did finally receive it, but it took a couple of months. I would call back and have them check on it. You have to sign with Fedex to get the card, so they should be able to track it for you if they say it was sent out.

I had the call on 4.Dec. I sent an email and called, however, no GC. Not a good way to win me over to their timeshare service.

I think you are definitely in the minority - is a problem somewhere. I did mine on Jan7 - rec. the pkg. 3 days later, Judy called me about 2 wks. later to see if I had rec. it, then my card came Feb. 9. Not one issue at all and she was so very friendly and not pushy one bit. I'd call again - it was promised!!

It seems like the time frame I did it in is an issue. I've heard from several people that did theirs in the last week of November that they haven't gotten them. Makes me think there is a computer glitch somewhere that tours taken during that time frame have fallen through the cracks.

To answer some questions: Yes, I received the packet of information within a week of the tour. No, my address is definitely not the issue. I've called three times now and they checked it each and every time. It's correct and has always been correct.

And I totally agree with the poster who said it doesn't endear me to their program when they can't seem to fulfill their part of the offer.

I did mine in the last week of November and haven't gotten mine either. While we were in Disney in January I made friends with a DVC guy (we kept seeing him around the parks), and he called the representative I spoke with and she "said she would look into it." Ha!

I still think it would be best to call up the rep you talked to, as they were the one to initiate the mailings and would be the most eager to follow up (not wanting bad feelings).

I never received mine. I forgot to follow up, so I missed out. Definetly keep on top of it, I think they hope people will forget. They were quick to send the info packet via Fed Ex, but never the gift card.

I did mine the last of November and I have not gotten it either. I got the info packet right away, and I got the Aulani lithograph from doing that tour too.

We actually ended up buying in to the DVC, paperwork in progress now, so I have been in touch with my rep and she knows that I have not gotten the GC yet.

It ended up being a pretty expensive GC in the end, so I hope I get it eventually!

I did my phone call around the end of December and had my packet with the information in it a week or so later. The end of January, I got a call from FedEx saying they had a package to deliver and it was my $40 gc. It was very easy for me, sorry it has taken so long for you.

I also did it in November and never got the card. Didn't give it much thought, but recently had some questions about DVC and called them with my questions at the end of our conversation the Rep. asked me if I had a Disney Visa and I said yup he then sent me the Gift card, got it three weeks later.

Yeah, I still haven't gotten mine either... I did my tour on December 15, got the packet and called back before Christmas. I think I might just call back tomorrow to see what's going on.

Called and did the tour on 1/16, I recieved the info packet, but never the GC-the original invite/promo said you should receive the GC within 30 days. So yesterday, 2/16, I call to ask what's up? The Rep told me they had been having an issue getting the GC's out, they outsource to another company and that company had the GC's on back-order, the Rep said she didn't really understand how they could be on backorder but they were. She did check under my name and said it did show I have a $40 GC coming my way-so we will see how much longer it takes. I had hoped to have it for my upcoming trip on the 27th, but I'm not going to hold my breath...

I never got it called twice both times told they sent it. I feel like its disorganized and a bit iffy. I asked that they remove me from future listings. Honestly if I buy dvc it won't be because of a gift card.
