DH just gave me season 1 and 2 of AMC's Madmen to watch on my computer and I just finished. I now can't wait for season 3!

Has anyone else seen this? I don't know why I hadn't heard about it before. It really is one of the best shows I've seen on TV lately. The clothes and hairstyles are reason enough to watch. If you haven't seen it yet, check it out. I will say that the story lines build and it's best if you can see it from the beginning.

The new season doesn't start until the Spring, so you have time to catch up. I highly recommend it.

DH and I got addicted too. Last Sunday we were so bummed that it wasn't on. I don't know how we're going to wait until July!

I think Pete is my favorite character. You just love to hate him, but at the same time he's so funny!

I love this show. I think it is the best thing on TV. It is such a puzzle to figure out what is going on with everyone. All the characters are so complex and so well written.

It is also fascinating to me to see the sexism. I really feel for women that lived through that era and were treated like that.

Love, love, love that show! On Demand had the whole first season for free so I caught up with it just before the second season started. I heard that HBO or one of the other premium cable channels took a pass on it. Bet they're regreting it now! I'm glad they did though, I don't get HBO, Showtime, etc.

Did you say JULY!!! I thought it started again in March. Arrggg! I don't know how I'll wait that long now!

I'm fascinated by all the characters, but probably with Don the most. He started the first season so controlled, but is starting to unravel a tiny bit. I like to try to figure out what makes him tick.

I'm also just fascinated with the culture of the times. I wasn't alive then, but it feels like I have a window into those times.

I started watching it when it first started and I was instantly hooked! It really is one of the best shows on TV! Don Draper may be a liar and a cheat, but my goodness is he gorgeous!

I haven't seen it yet but have heard rave reviews about it. I just ordered the first season on Blu Ray for Dh for Christmas - I hope he likes it:thumbsup2

Deep Discount is having their huge 25% off sale and I was able to pick up the BluRay MadMen Season one for $23.89 with free shipping:thumbsup2 The code is SUPERSALE for anyone that wants to use it and it is good through 11/23. It is only good on current DVD/BLuRay - no preorders.

This is one of my favorite shows. :thumbsup2

I can't wait for the new season. I'm pretty sure it won't be back until summer.

:thumbsup2 We have a thread somewhere for this show.

Great Show!

DH and I have been watching it from the beginning. LOVE IT!!!

It will be a long time to wait until July.

This show is FANTASTIC! I watch a lot of TV and this show is superior on so many levels. Everything is top notch on this show and I cannot say enough good things about it. Don and Betty are fantastic and I LOVE Roger Sterling.

I told my husband (who doesn't watch and has no interest in it) that it is like eating a delicious dessert. There are so many layers and rich tastes to it, but you need to eat only one small bite at a time and savor it. It is perfectly paced, well written, and fantastically acted. If they hadn't won the Emmy I would have been outraged!

Spread the word about it . Ratings have slipped and there is little AMC can do about it.

Jon Hamm was on last week's Saturday Night Live as well promoting the show. Jon Slatterly and Elizabeth Moss also did a cameo on a skit spoofing Mad Men.

You can get season one either on DVD and/or on demand. I really enjoyed season one.

Season two--well, some of the ideas were a bit contrived but it works.

I am not trying to pick on you because I know you mean well, but that isn't true.....their ratings were actually up 89% this year.

I know many people don't want to try out a new show that they think might be cancelled soon....I do gree that the more people the better and it is a great show to spread the word about. It is doing very well in the ratings, especially for a new network like AMC (new network meaning new to doing serialized tv shows).
