Is Aft or forward better on the Fantasy?

We are currently booked in a 8C room far forward on deck 7. My only complaint with the location is that we are down a hallway of about 20 rooms to get to the forward elevator.

We can get an 8B room on deck 9. It's close to the aft elevators. On my two non Disney cruises I have ways been at the front of the ship so I am looking for opinions, thanks

We prefer to be away from the elevators because there is less foot traffic outside our door.

My personal favorite is forward. Have been forward on the Dream 2 times....in cabin #2004 on Deck (love this location) and in a current 9D (used to be 9A) large corner cabin #8504 on Deck 8 (about as far forward as you can get).

On the Dream/Fantasy the distance between the mid and forward elevators is much less than the distance from aft to mid elevators. To me, it just seems easier to get around the ship from the forward section since I spend alot of time by the forward activities (like the adult pool).

Couldn't agree more. Those rooms are fantastic, the biggest secret of ocean view rooms on the ship. Being so far forward (bow, or pointy end) is quiet, and the view is great out those "corner" windows. Not next to the elevators, but truly a short jaunt, and the forward elevators take us right to the adult pool and coffee shop.

We travel in the aft on the classic ships, and that is convenient to everything. It is a bit noisier (engine noise in port), but truly just a bit, and hasn't ever bothered us.

The other thing you could consider is being on deck 9 versus deck 7. If you are planning on spending most of your time on deck 11+ on the pool, etc. then being on deck 9 may be easier to walk up and down the 2 flights of stairs.

As far as being on the forward or aft, i don't really know if there is a big difference. we were on the aft side, and liked it because it was closer to Cabanas (which we went to every day), and we never really went to the adults section towards the aft of deck 11, so it didn't really matter to us being at the other end of the ship.

Bottom line is that i don't think there is a "wrong" choice here. Good luck with whatever you decide on!

We were on deck 6 forward and I loved it because it was so much quieter than the aft. yes, it is a long walk from the back of the ship (ex: cabanas and Europa), but I didn't mind because I needed to work off all the food I was eating.

What Dream cruise are you booked on? We are from Ontario too and are booking our first cruise in Dec 2013 on the Dream...yay!

We are also from ONTARIO, we have a 7 Day Fantasy cruise booked for DEc 2013 EASTERN. We have been on BOW AFT and MID. We like the Bow because its less expensive right at the front. Close to elevators to Adult area and spa. The aft is close to the buffet and coffee machines:rotfl2:. We have been on 8 DCL cruises with 2 this fall on the DREAM. We are booked again for the bow but the following year we are booked on the Fantasy in the aft. Last year on the Dream we had high winds hitting the ship and our Bow cabin was going uppppppppp and downnnnnnnn:rotfl2: My wife felt ill until we walked to mid ship and aft at Palos. The worst place to be is the bow in rough seas. By the way what part of Ontario are you from?
